Jesus, our Extraordinary Strategist.

I love reading the bible in many different versions. With the information being so easily accessible through bible websites it is easy and fast. (I use biblegateway.com) This sunk in deeply when I read this about our Jesus:

Isaiah 9:6New English Translation (NET Bible)
For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Did you know Jesus is our personal Strategist? What is a strategist? I like this dictionary’s definition:

http://www.collinsdictionary.com › dictionary

British English: strategist – A strategist is someone who is skilled in planning the best way to gain an advantage or to achieve success, especially in war. NOUNMilitary – strategists had devised a plan that guaranteed a series of stunning victories.

From my experiences, whenever I get serious about following Jesus, the enemy forces bring out their strongest and toughest to challenge my resolve. I believe the devil and his demons are very afraid of our potential in Christ Jesus and so, they work very hard to snuff us out when we are young and weak. Fortunately according to scripture, when we are weak, then we are strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NASB)
9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Yes, the road was difficult when I decided to follow Jesus again, mainly because I had tremendous distrust and misconception about God as our good Abba, Father. The enemy successfully used this stronghold in my past two attempts to follow Jesus. However this time around, thanks be to God the enemy did not succeed!

Especially in the beginning, Jesus scooped in like a powerful mighty Prince and carried me through many tough terrains. The comfort of the Holy Spirit was so intense. That’s why it was easy to wake up at five to spend intimate time with my Lord. It was a personal revival that lasted about two years. I cried so much during those two years. For my husband to not notice my puffy red eyes, it had to be God!

There are too many stories to tell you but I’m forever convinced that our Jesus is our Extraordinary Strategist. Filling in the dictionary’s definition; Jesus is skilled in planning the best way to gain an advantage or to achieve success, especially in war. He devises a plan that guarantee series of stunning victories. Conclusion – It’s good for you to trust His plans and just do it!

I’m praying for you to be forever convinced that Jesus is your personal Extraordinary Strategist. Jesus is for you. He loves you so much. Live in His love. How? By obeying His lead and following His commands found in the bible.* The ‘why’ understanding may come later. However I’ve discovered that my mind is not big enough to understand the ways of God and so, I find it easier to simply trust in His goodness and love for me. I’ll be praying for you. Please pray for me too. – From the heart with love.

*John 15:10Living Bible (TLB)
10 When you obey me you are living in my love, just as I obey my Father and live in his love.

John 10:10Expanded Bible (EXB)

10 A thief comes [only] to steal and kill and destroy, but I came to give life [that they might have life]—life in all its fullness [abundance].

Isaiah 41:10New Living Translation (NLT)
10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
