I am God’s mercy.

Sometimes I think God can choose better than me but He has called me to show His mercy and grace. It’s dawning on me more and more that I am God’s mercy to those afraid, misinformed and even hostile to Him.

Friends, there is a long history and many reasons why someone is afraid, misinformed and hostile to our Lord Jesus Christ or even to the concept of God. Many people I know including my husband fit into this category. It’s difficult to be in marriage to someone so uncomfortable with my beliefs and faith. He comes from a different religious background that has witnessed Christians persecute their people. I don’t think my husband will ever seek Jesus on his own. However with God, all things are possible. And so, God has chosen me to his wife and to chip away the misinformation, fear and hostility towards Jesus Christ and against the Christian people. I am God’s mercy.

I do wish more has chipped away in my husband’s heart and mind the past four years. Sometimes God seem to work at a snail’s pace. But I have soothed myself to accept His timing and to trust Him. After all, see the evidence of the cross!

What’s interesting is as I do my best to honor God by honoring my husband, grow in my knowledge of the word, seek His will and follow Jesus where he leads me; my feeble faith has grown stronger and stronger. My prayers are bolder too, and yet I believe they will come to pass! That’s the only work Jesus says we must do – to believe. Well then, I do believe the world will see the body of Christ shining brighter and functioning mightily in these last hours of the last days.

How about this thought?! It seems to me that God is using both of us as His instrument of mercy! My husband is God’s mercy to me – by growing my faith stronger. I am God’s mercy to him – by chipping away the wrong beliefs. Perhaps the snail-pace is also God’s mercy so that we both don’t crumble apart. Well then, praise the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning!! 😃

I’ll be praying for you. Please pray for me too. Thank you! God bless you! -From the heart with love.
