My daughter has been attending religious Hebrew school for the past six years in order to become a bat mitzvah, which means she has received her training to follow the Jewish mitzvots and is committing herself to her religion and traditions now as an adult. My mom was attending a house church on her block for nearly two years. Listening to how she discovered this private house church seemed divinely set up by God. My mom, sister and nephew were regularly attending and were being greatly blessed. Though I had my hesitation on this house church, I was so thankful that they finally were committing themselves to a church, learning the word and being accountable to other believers. In America, same-sex marriage became legal across the states. I’ve kept my thoughts quiet on this matter because I was torn between the views of two opposing sides. I’ve been part of the world for a long time and now being part of the Christian community, I completely understand both sides of arguments.
