Through my small group, a beautiful sweet lady came into my life in January. Her friend in our group asked us to pray for her because out of nowhere she became very ill and then got diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. Both my kids are in travel soccer teams. I’ve never played team sports or had any interest in following a popular sports team. My son’s third grade class was reading and studying autobiographies. For his home writing assignments, I borrowed many books on a wide range of historical figures. It was interesting to see the people he chose to read about. I was surprised to find that I knew so little about many historical people. I read through them all.
