My seeds

Summertime is usually a dry period for me because of the lack of regular fellowship. Small groups take a break, and long vacations create a longer break from attending church. Though I make time to read God’s word and pray in the morning, regular companionship of believers is very important to enjoying fullness of life and journeying with hope and faith. I can’t understand how lone Christians live life isolated from other believers. I’m sure the victory and joy are missing substantially.

It was towards the end of my family’s long vacation in Italy that I was fizzling out fast. I was weak. That’s when the enemy likes to strike. The doubts and fears are not unfamiliar. The lies are the same. Nevertheless the lies affected me and discouraged me because I was in a weak state.

The Holy Spirit is good. He gave me a vision to hold onto. In my hands I was holding few seeds. Each seed represented a year of my life. Every year that I live for God’s will rather than my own, this special seed gets planted into the ground. Just like in the story of ‘Jack and the beanstalk’, this special seed is very unique and grows upwards into the heavens.

So far I’ve planted five seeds and close to getting my sixth seed. I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to ask for something BIG for each seed. He gave me a HUGE request!  I asked that each seed would yield the salvation of 100,000 Jews!! When the Holy Spirit gave me this number to ask for, my first thought was that’s too much! That’s crazy prayer! I can’t even get one Jewish family member to believe in Jesus Christ. Then I remembered God’s word…that with God, nothing is impossible. Jesus told us that if we ask for anything according to God’s will, then He hears us and we will receive what we ask for. So I obeyed the Holy Spirit’s prompting to ask for the salvation of 100,000 Jews per seed. That’s half a million souls already! I know that I prayed according to God’s will because suddenly great faith and comfort flooded into me. Somehow I believe that my prayer was heard and received by our Almighty God.

I’ve heard and read reports of many non-Jews coming to believe in Jesus Christ in great numbers in these last hours of the last days. But for the Jewish people, it’s only a drip here and there. Wouldn’t it be so incredible when finally God opens the eyes of the Jewish people and many in great number believe?! And somehow I’m part of this great historical movement! Wow.

I’m thankful that I have this medium to write down my praying journey. It’s so easy to forget. I encourage everyone to journal too. Please pray for my ministry and the new vision that I’ve been given. I’ll be praying for you too. With much love from my heart.

1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

John 14:12-14 (NKJV)
The Answered Prayer
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
