Mega Truck Dream

Four or five years ago I remember stopping at a red light. Then this huge mega-truck pulls up next to me. My Honda Accord felt so puny standing next to this mega truck. Once the light turned green, I sped off and looked back on my rear view mirror. I saw that the mega-truck barely accelerated forward. It must’ve been heavily loaded. I smiled to myself, “hee-hee”. Suddenly at that moment, the Holy Spirit said to me, “A small church will get to the accident site first but their resources are limited. A big church will take longer to get there but when they get there, they have A LOT more to offer.” Wow, I didn’t expect this! God knew that I was thinking about looking for a smaller church. In college I went to a very small church, at most 100 members. This was my own private thought that I didn’t even talk to Him about yet. Ever since that incident I knew that I was supposed to stay at my mega-church. We have flaws like everyone else but I do love my mega-church. 🙂

9/8/2016 – This week I saw the mega-truck again when I was praying in a vision. The truck was stalled on the side of the road because it had a flat tire. I just knew that the enemy did this. There was flurry of activities to get the tire fixed – unloading the heavily loaded truck, people moving everywhere and on their phones trying to get help, confusion and concern, etc. Then I saw a small group of women surrounding the flat tire area, holding hands and praying. Suddenly the flat tire was no longer flat! It was divinely fixed! In that moment I knew that my new women’s prayer group is to function as prayer warriors for our mega-church.

We have our first meeting next Tuesday. I’m super excited to get this group finally started! It’s amazing that only few months ago I didn’t really care to start this group but simply obeyed God by saying yes. Now, I’m super excited! This reminds me of this verse:

Philippians 2:13 (AMP)
[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

12/28/2017 – The Holy Spirit has been reminding me about this vision. I’m so glad that I wrote this down. I’ve learned so much since this vision about leading prayer with warring purposes. I’ve also learned that the enemy will attack but God is always in control and is completely faithful. Praise God that I didn’t know much in the beginning or else I might’ve chickened out of my new job assignment! This Christmas season at our church I’ve witnessed record breaking attendances in all our special events. Therefore I’m reminded of this vision. Praise the Lord!

3/18/2018 – I believe the flat tire on our mega-truck has been restored. However now we must reload the resources back into the truck. Soon we will be on our way. Praise Jesus!

1/2/2019 – I have led our group to pray weekly for our church, its leaders, staff and congregants when I heard from the Lord to organize corporate prayer and that our group was created for this purpose. I was naive and I didn’t realize how big the assignment was. Boy, have I grown in the Lord! During this winter break I feel the release from the Lord of our group’s assignment. I’ve asked three women of faith and maturity to pray for me too – to be certain that I’m hearing correctly and that I’m not deserting my post. It’s been a very tough assignment!! I don’t fully know what our group’s prayers did in the spiritual realm but the church must’ve needed it. Our prayer warriors always prayed with respect, love and unity. I don’t know what our group will become now in the remaining months until June but I trust that God will show me the way. Praise Jesus, our Great and Marvelous Shepherd!

I have experienced and learned so much in this job assignment. Old Testament books and characters like Jeremiah, Daniel, Joshua, and Nehemiah truly blessed and strengthened me. If I have more time going forward, I would like to record my learnings and thoughts on my journal so that I can look back at the many lessons I have learned. Holy Spirit, allow time for this introspection and recordings. Thank you!

I believe this statement from apostle Paul more today than September 2016 when I began this prayer group. Praise the Lord!

Ephesians 6:10-12

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Lord, I would love to eyewitness this phenomenon in our lives, in our churches, in our towns, in our states, in our country, in our world. For your glory Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior! Thank you!

Isaiah 43:18-20

But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

The wild animals in the fields will thank me,
    the jackals and owls, too,
for giving them water in the desert.
Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland
so my chosen people can be refreshed.
