Love Will Find A Way

I remember this powerful experience at Target so vividly. It was about six years ago. I believe Jesus was just starting to implement his action plans to woo me back into his arms. After all, Jesus is an Extraordinary Strategist. I was minding my own business shopping for household items. Then I looked up and saw far away in the clothing section, a bright neon orange shirt hanged up high with these words on it, “Love Will Find A Way.” OMG – suddenly I was doused with great floods of great love. Right in the middle of Target I couldn’t contain myself but started bawling uncontrollably.

Fortunately the store wasn’t crowded and I went into a corner to find my composure. Wave upon wave of great love from my Great Savior kept crashing down on me. I thought I’d collapsed. My physical body wasn’t capable of containing such great love for me! I remember asking God to please stop the flood because I need to compose myself at Target. I haven’t prayed for years and this was my prayer. Soon the outpouring lessened but I was shaking a lot. I eventually made my way to the clothing section and bought the shirt clearly meant for a teenager. Lol!

I still have this shirt. This ‘loud’ shirt reminds me how lavishly my Jesus loves me. It has been quite the journey living life with Jesus the past six years. Whenever the journey path gets super tough or too adventurous, I’d pull out this shirt from my closet and remember Jesus’ great love for me. Remembering that experience reminds me that I can trust Him with my life and His leading.

Jesus reached down from heaven to touch me in the most powerful ways as a young teen, as a young lady and as a young mom six years ago. Although the forces of darkness may have been successful here and there in deterring my journey away from God’s will, now I believe without doubt that these sayings below are true. May we be encouraged to keep on praying and having faith for the people in our lives who need our Savior’s love and salvation. After all, Love Will Find A Way.

John 10:27-30 (NLT)
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, 29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. 30 The Father and I are one.

Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
