My church announced few months ago that due to increase in attendance, they will be adding an additional service on Sundays so there will be three services. However adding another service will cut off more time, and so each service will be only an hour long. When I first heard this announcement I was disappointed because I knew worship time will be cut as well. I really enjoy worship and I know the Holy Spirit used this time to minister to me mightily especially in the beginning. I was concerned about the quality ministry for new converts especially since many are not connected to a small group yet. I keep these concerns in my heart.
Not long after, the Holy Spirit strongly impressed on me to start sitting in the very front of the pews. I didn’t want to since I’m alone and I rather not have people notice that. I’d rather blend in the crowded middle pews. However the impression was so strong that I obeyed. I wondered why, then the Holy Spirit deposited understanding in my heart that I’m to help the worship team usher in the power of His Spirit at worship! It’s so wonderful that with obedience comes understanding of spiritual matters. Praise God!
I wasn’t comfortable sitting in the very front but that’s all right. I’d rather be uncomfortable than miss the blessings that come from obedience. Interestingly, I’ve been blessed in unexpected ways. Once at worship which is my favorite time of service, I kept stopping to check the clock because the 15 minute worship was feeling like it was going on for 40 minutes! I just dismissed this as strange and didn’t give it another thought. And then the same thing happened again the following week! I kept stopping to check the clock because worship felt like it was going on for a long time! It was so strange to be affected in time! I realized that the Holy Spirit can do anything including elongating the time of worship to those who need it. Wow. This didn’t happen again but I’m so blessed to experience this and reassured that our members can be ministered despite the short worship. Praise God!
Other interesting things are happening at worship for me sitting in the front pew. I can visually see what’s happening in the spiritual side. Once I saw many rainbows forming around the sanctuary at worship. As we sang more rainbows formed around us. I can even use the rainbows to jump higher and higher, rising above from the cares and concerns of life below. It was a wonderful visualization that showed me the power of corporate worship. There are great things happening in the spiritual side during worship. I believe eventually the spiritual side manifests into the physical world.
I’m so glad to have this place to jot down my experiences. It’s important to write them down or else I’ll forget these supernatural occurrences. Everyday life and responsibilities take the precious memories away quickly. I hope you are journaling yourself. Thank you for reading my entry and allowing me to share this with you. Please keep my church in your prayers as we transition into three services in February 2017. Pray that there’ll be greater anointing and power for the all staff and volunteers to add another service. Pray that the church will get more volunteers and that everyone will be blessed by serving and growing. Thank you!!
I’ve been meditating on Joel 2 this week. Is it possible that we are at the beginning of these promises of God’s Restoration and Spirit being released into our nation and church?! I hope and pray so!

I have to add this! Today at church worship time, I saw so clearly in my mind, Jesus as a big powerful and roaring lion by my side! He was a huge lion! And when he roared, it was so powerful! He is sending out his powerful roars into the land of desolation that we are coming and claiming the land! Oh my goodness, I felt so happy and strong with Jesus going with me into the land that belongs to me and my family! Oh my goodness!!! Wow…I’m speechless.
