Friends, I have been very busy once my prayer group started at the church. There’s much I’ve shared with this group and so I’ve been neglecting writing here. Sorry!

Oil of Blessing
Hello ladies! As I was praying this morning I am strongly led to share with you my experiences. This is a very important lesson to know for yourself too. It’s actually a spiritual principle or law that I believe many of you are violating repeatedly due to lack of knowledge and understanding. I’m sharing this because I care for you to live in abundance and in victory. Please be open to my sharing.

One good thing about being born into a Confucius-based Asian family is the early learning about respecting your elders and those in authority no matter how much you are hurt or offended. Now I realize how much this learned principle has made it easier for me to submit myself to those over me in authority despite how hostile or wrong they can be according to the Bible that I study and follow closely.

When I was in graduate program, my immediate senior supervisor to my research thesis was a lesbian who was very hostile to hardcore Christians like myself. Yes, it was extremely hard to submit myself under her for two LONG years. But I had no choice because I needed her! However this is where I saw the blessings of God being poured over her and onto me! My research results came out phenomenally well. I still remember once in our lab meeting after I shared my experiment results, a visiting professor who is very accomplished turns to me and says out loud, “Boy, God must really love you!” My results got published in a scientific journal too.

This experience taught me that submission to the authority God has placed over me was very important because that’s where the Oil of Blessing will flow from. Plus I’m allowing this Oil of Blessing to touch even the most hostile person over me. I left the graduate program after my masters, and I know I deposited something powerful and lovely into the supervisor about my “Christian God”.

Fast forward many more years. Six years ago I recommitted my life back to Jesus Christ. My relationship with Christ is either hot or cold. I find it impossible to follow Him lukewarm. My husband who is secular (meaning not religious at all) but grew up in a religious Jewish family was very alarmed at my dramatic conversion. He thought I joined a religious cult! I don’t blame him for his suspicions and hostility towards my Christian faith. Now I understand why – many Christians persecuted the Jews relentlessly the past two thousand years.

Despite all this, I knew how important it was to submit to his authority over me as his wife. Besides God kept leading me to bible reading about this specific matter in those early days. I tried really, really hard to object to this spiritual principle citing my unique case before God numerous times; but when you know, you know.

It took about three years of major adjustments and fine twickings, but I’ve changed dramatically for the better by submitting to the authority over me. I’ve seen the Oil of Blessing being poured over my husband and then onto me and my children. I understand so well why the famous leaders in the Old Testament such as David, Daniel and Joseph subjected themselves to hostile and imperfect authorities until God released them in His perfect timing, not theirs.

Don’t worry about me now. My husband has greatly warmed up to the Christian faith. Actually, his entire Jewish family has because of me. My relationships with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law used to be icy and distant. Now we love and respect each other more than ever. Our family get togethers are enjoyable and fun now. My marriage used to be volatile and filled with great turmoil. Now my husband adores and loves me more than ever. Even my parents and sister are inch-by-inch turning towards God because of my change for the better. Praise God!

This Oil of Blessing affects everything! Finance, health, relationships, success in your work and projects, and most importantly child rearing! Boy I need this with two kids ages 14 and 10 in this tumultuous culture and society.

Friends, please pray about what I’ve shared today. If God has led you to PAC church, to a small group, maybe even to me; then take this message and discuss this with God in your prayer time. You know me and see the quality of fruit in my life. God has always led me to a church and a small group to belong to. I do my best to only support and encourage the authorities over me because I know that’s where the Oil of Blessing will flow from to me. If I see a weakness, I pray and intercede for them. So far, God has never led me to say anything other than pray for them. Thank goodness! 😅 I don’t enjoy confrontation.

I’m going to end this now because I could go on and on. Thank you for reading! Please pray about everything I shared today. I just want you to live an abundant life filled with peace, love, joy and security. If you are violating a spiritual principle/law then it’s not the devil taking your blessings. You are just breaking a law. Now that you know, just do better going forward and eventually you’ll stop going around that same mountain over and over again.
