Tango dance dream

Dear journal, what a cool dream I had again! I hope I can capture everything before I forget. In this dream I felt like I was in a college campus because there were many young adults walking about or sitting together in groups hanging out.

I was walking around them and with several young adults I would challenge and engage them in a tango dance while others were watching us dance! And each tango dance was elegant, intense and skilled. I would not tire after each dance but I’d move to another young challenger to dance again! I barely can follow any dance moves in reality and tire easily in my gym classes so this dream makes me laugh out loud. Lol!!

I believe this tango dance represents the work of evangelism. I have been challenged to open my mouth and engage with the nonbelievers and skeptics about Jesus Christ. I feel convicted when I don’t speak out or make an attempt. Whenever I’ve been sharing to a nonbeliever or a skeptic it feels like a spiritual tango dance – intense and powerful. My senses and dependence on the Holy Spirit has to be great in order to make the dance elegant and to know when to end with a cordial bow. Right now I’m just learning so I’ve stumbled and stumped few toes but I’m trying more to evangelize because I’ve gotten my new work assignment from my Lord. I’m reading Billy Graham’s autobiography, “Just as I am” right now, and this book came to me at the perfect time because he shared so much about his work in evangelism! I’m learning lots.

In my dream I also came across my college pastor’s wife, Linda. It was so great to see her again after many years. We were walking together and catching up. She was listening to me telling her excitedly about the college dance-offs. It’s occurring to me now that she had these dance-offs in their college ministry work. This is how I came back to Christ as a sophomore. They were available in our campus and had meetings on Friday nights at our campus for the students. What sacrifice they made for the college students to give up their Friday nights so faithfully! I wish I could have shown my appreciation for their service and sacrifice, and pray for them regularly back then. I was too young and self-absorbed to think outside the box back then. I’ll be keeping them in my prayers now and make up for my lack.

Attached are bible verses on evangelism. Now I will train to tango dance well and most importantly to not lose an opportunity to any dance-offs because of apathy, lack of love or fears. Lord help me! 🙏

These verses stand out to me most:

Colossians 4:2-6 The Passion Translation (TPT)

A Life of Prayer

Be faithful to pray as intercessors who are fully alert and giving thanks to God. And please pray for me, that God will open a door of opportunity for us to preach the revelation of the mystery of Christ, for whose sake I am imprisoned. Pray that I would unfold and reveal fully this mystery, for that is my delightful assignment.

Walk in the wisdom of God as you live before the unbelievers, and make it your duty to make him known. Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith.
