Where do we go from here?

These letters written by Christian leaders in response to recent events are comforting me and also giving me peace with godly wisdom. I hope they help you too.

It was only this summertime that I finally opened myself to listen to the many prophetic and pastoral voices who kept telling the church that President Trump is the best choice for our country. Since I did not know anything about prophetic ministry, I had to rely on Sid Roth’s choice of prophetic guests. I have been very blessed by Sid Roth and his variety of guests for several years. I also asked another ministry friend who has all the good fruit of the Holy Spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-23, and who is knowledgeable about who’s who in the prophetic ministry.

This letter is not written by a prophetic voice but rather a sweet godly woman who writes frequently for Intercessors For America. I’m blessed by her thoughts about the prophetic ministry in the church. As she stated, I fall into the camp of people who started listening to prophetic voices because I wanted to know the heart of God and obey. https://ifapray.org/blog/a-timely-word-about-words/

Here are other articles about the prophetic ministry in New Testament time that gave me better understanding if you want to read it. 1. https://www.christianpost.com/voices/some-practical-thoughts-on-contemporary-prophetic-ministry.html 2. https://messiahsmandate.org/10-principles-of-new-testament-prophets/ 3. https://www.gotquestions.org/prophecy-prophesy.html

Dr Dobson’s letter also comforts and guides us on where we go from here. – https://www.drjamesdobson.org/newsletters/february-newsletter-2021?utm_campaign=2021%20February%20NL&utm_medium=email&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-9Lvph4G7QWhbHFx92yy8afC4XcUA8XqpK_S5z81oqSjmCjWakO-jC7Wo-9kSvMWPYXEAy9qL6JuH3AsknTyrquJ3w33A&_hsmi=106477982&utm_content=106477982&utm_source=hs_email&hsCtaTracking=c8a5990e-0193-4660-846b-1b8dee15910f%7C1ef181f6-f9be-404b-a930-c9f171772b68

Yesterday I was talking with a church friend who is a registered Democrat, and vehemently opposed the Republican Party and President Trump. As I was listening to her, I kept thinking “how the heck is God going to bring the church to be likeminded?” I didn’t respond back with my viewpoints and personal change of heart, because I saw that she was not going to listen at all. She talked like my husband and I know it’ll go nowhere but anger and division in the relationship. Instead I’ll be praying for her and for me too, in case I’ve heard wrong from the Lord. I also told her about my home situation; to explain to her that my home situation is sort of like the believers in China. I do my kingdom work and worship of Jesus more secretly due to the hostility of my husband to my faith. I suppose my ten years of living life this way will benefit the believers in USA going forward. She was surprised to hear this and promised to pray for me. (Actually the believers in China have it much worse than me, especially in the last two years. Their new Chinese Communist Party leader has been opposing and jailing them greatly in the last couple of years. It happened very suddenly. Now even the church attenders are getting jailed, not just the pastors.)

I’m saddened by the great division in the body of Christ and families in USA. Whenever I’m discouraged in following Jesus Christ, I seem to go back to Peter’s reply on John 6:68-69 – Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”
