Yesterday I came across this documentary about the Azusa Street revival. Right after seeing this I saw interviews with eye witnesses of the revival. Their testimonies were glorious.
The Pentecostal movement in USA started here over 100 years ago. It produced a big harvest and great lasting fruit. Though it looked odd and hard to understand with our minds, the church was very brave, powerful and passionate. Men with great pride and stiffness melted into conviction, repentance and became born-again under the atmosphere. Usually men like that come to Jesus Christ on their death beds or impossible crisis moments or never.
It’s amazing to hear that this movement started because of continual prayers of a few people with brokenness and humility. There was no cleverness and resourcefulness of men. Documentary also shared the key reasons why the movement stopped after three years. Definitely good to keep this in mind.

If you want to research more, there are many books written about this revival too.
I like this resource for basic information about a topic from a Christian perspective. I find their articles very good and simple. – https://www.gotquestions.org/Azusa-Street-Revival.html
