When I started my faith journey over ten years ago, I knew that Jesus Christ came from a Jewish background. However since I was void of theology and had very little knowledge of the Old Testament books, I assumed that the Jewish people were punished by God for their rejection of Jesus Christ two thousand years ago and that the church replaced the Jewish people as God’s special people on earth.
Also, I didn’t understand why my Jewish husband was so suspicious of the church. He thought I had joined a Christian cult since I suddenly wanted to go to church weekly and read my bible constantly. Since then, I did A LOT of research on church history and what happened between the Jewish people and the church. I was so surprised to find out that the first century church was all Jewish believers! I was even more surprised that all the apostles who wrote the New Testament books were Jewish too.

I recently discovered pastor Voddie and I must say he preached this very tough topic about biblical submission for women with great courage. As a former feminist only ten years ago, it took a lot of tears, pain and heartache to submit my will and behaviors to obey God’s word in my marriage. It is up to you to obey.
