I recently discovered pastor Voddie and I must say he preached this very tough topic about biblical submission for women with great courage. As a former feminist only ten years ago, it took a lot of tears, pain and heartache to submit my will and behaviors to obey God’s word in my marriage. It is up to you to obey. I ask you to at least listen and pray about what he said in this message. https://youtu.be/hUvzYcQGZvg
Yesterday I read about a child abuse case in the newspaper. A boyfriend severely injured a 6 year old boy to discipline him. I was shocked to read that the mom cleaned up her child‘s body and then read her Bible before taking his lifeless body to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. I realized that she was a Christian woman. God has given us guidelines in relationships and biblical submission for our safety and our children’s. Single ladies, please pray carefully about the man you date, seek counsel and prayers from mature believers, and listen carefully to the authority figures in your life. Pastor Voddie will tell you who they are. Satan will send the best person in his army to woo you away from God’s protection and destiny for you and your children. With my air miles, I get People magazine. I am always amazed how many beautiful and smart women get caught up in horrible, toxic relationships.
For those of you who were married before you committed to Jesus Christ (like me), I found this blog on the theology of being married to a nonbeliever spouse very good and biblical. Please read this information to understand the biblical theology about your situation. I chose to obey God’s word after I understood the theology. God’s theology works! With less drama and relational turmoil in my life, I have had peace to spend much time in the last ten years studying the Bible, church history, inquiring about contemporary issues in light of the Bible, doing women’s ministry at my church and intercessory prayers, etc. https://sheiladougal.com/2018/07/15/a-theology-of-loving-your-unbelieving-spouse/?blogsub=confirming#subscribe-blog
I found this lady’s ministry when I came across her article in this Christian magazine. Her other blogs on her website are also very good. https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/marriage-unbeliever/
If you have daughters, please do your best to teach these fundamentals for their protection. Since the spirit of rebellion is very strong in the last days, even if they don’t listen to you now then live it out for yourself so they will know what to do once they decide to follow God’s ways. And please pray for your daughters, especially who they get romantically involved with. There are many dangerous wolves disguised as sheeps out there. Please keep me and my family in your prayers as I continue serving the body of Christ, His church. Thank you so much!
If you want to hear the full three hours of the “Love and Marriage” seminar by pastor Voddie, here it is. It was so good that I listened to it in one day. This is the best seminar I’ve ever heard about the purpose of a biblical marriage and what’s expected of us for singles and married believers. It also makes me very sad that this type of clear, firm and sound teaching is not given to God’s people from the pulpit. With the divorce rate in the church being the same as the world, why aren’t the church pastors in USA preaching about the structure of a biblical marriage on a regular basis, and crying to God about the demise of marriages within the church? Now that I have heard the clear picture of a biblical marriage or seen it in my mind for the first time through this message, I will be praying about this very sad situation in the church during our corporate prayer meetings. Please pass this along to the single believers in your circle. Protect them please with your prayers and godly warnings. This seminar message has all the warnings listed for the singles. – https://youtu.be/k8TWtAOTICQ
Jeremiah 29:11-14 (VOICE) – 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Eternal, “plans for peace, not evil, to give you a future and hope—never forget that. 12 At that time, you will call out for Me, and I will hear. You will pray, and I will listen. 13 You will look for Me intently, and you will find Me. 14 Yes, I will be found by you,” says the Eternal, “and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations where you’ve been scattered—all the places where I have driven you. I will bring you back to the land that is your rightful home.”
