When I started my faith journey over ten years ago, I knew that Jesus Christ came from a Jewish background. However since I was void of theology and had very little knowledge of the Old Testament books, I assumed that the Jewish people were punished by God for their rejection of Jesus Christ two thousand years ago and that the church replaced the Jewish people as God’s special people on earth.
Also, I didn’t understand why my Jewish husband was so suspicious of the church. He thought I had joined a Christian cult since I suddenly wanted to go to church weekly and read my bible constantly. Since then, I did A LOT of research on church history and what happened between the Jewish people and the church. I was so surprised to find out that the first century church was all Jewish believers! I was even more surprised that all the apostles who wrote the New Testament books were Jewish too.

4. Pastor Derek Prince is someone I learn from continually. He was a brilliant theologian and linguist. Also because he pastored in Africa and Israel; he has much experience with the supernatural too. In Africa, there are many witch doctors and magic, and so he addressed these topics in his sermons frequently. He was in Israel during the early years of its establishment too. I highly respect his experience and theological knowledge. Please read page 10-11 on his transcribed sermon on “How to Pass From Curses to Blessings”. I have this pdf saved and read it again periodically to remind myself of these principles. I heard this while back and it was nice to hear again on some pointers on how Jews become believers of Jesus Christ.
