The Last Hour

I just finished reading this book. It’s my first end times book that I have read. This subject matter always overwhelmed me and so I stayed away from it. Whether his conclusions are completely or partially correct, I think it’s good to wrestle through this topic biblically with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

I have studied this topic extensively in the past 8 months or so during the pandemic isolation. I feel now I need to put the subject matter on the shelf and let myself rest. This whole summer I want to rest as much as possible. It’s been an intense year and half in ministry work, in raising my teenagers, in loving my spouse and learning about the end times.

I’ve been following this Canadian pastor for several years now. He shares very good information and stories of his own personal struggles to help other leaders. I remember in one article about burnout, he said to never do these two things: 1. Have an affair 2. Kill yourself. (I thought that’s very good simple-to-remember advice. There are many ministry leaders who had affairs, and some who killed themselves. Here is his website if you want to follow him too. – https://careynieuwhof.com)

Couple of articles about the end times before I put this subject matter on the shelf: 1. Anne Graham Lotz is Billy Graham’s daughter and her recent thoughts about the crisis in Israel and the end times are worth reading through. – https://billygraham.org/story/anne-graham-lotz-qa-on-the-crisis-in-israel/

2. This blog titled “The Rescue” is worth reading too. – https://67owls.com/2021/06/26/the-rescue/

Good bye to end time studies! Class is over! If only I can also leave the classroom on raising teenagers. 😂
