This coming Friday and Saturday, we will be traveling to Indiana University to visit Alex for parent weekend. I bought our airline tickets early summer when I heard that this weekend is super busy and warned by the IU parent Facebook group to book everything early.

Afghanistan 🇦🇫

I have been very heartbroken 💔 about the events at Afghanistan. Especially as a former feminist, I know that the women in Afghanistan will suffer immediately and immeasurably by the Taliban. Christian homes, collaborators with the US and allies are already being targeted and massacred. Generally, the parents and elderly are killed, and their young people will be taken as slaves. As I was seeking the Lord on how to pray for the Christian teenagers in Afghanistan, the Holy Spirit brought to my attention the Bible studies I did on the books of Daniel and Esther. They were Jewish teenagers when taken captive to serve very brutal and powerful empires and kings. I will be praying for the Afghan youth with biblical wisdom in this academic year.

Sunflower 🌻 Prophecy

This is a picture that we have on our bedroom wall to remind us of our road-trip to Italy’s Tuscany region. There were many sunflower farms there, along with plenty of grape vineyards for wine.

Why am I suddenly so interested in sunflowers? Because of this sunflower prophecy that Sid Roth shared recently. I know it’s important to test prophecies. I’m far from knowing how to do this well but I am desperate for a revival in our churches, country and the world. Prior to the pandemic, I prayed for a revival often enough; but now I am praying for a revival daily. This is our only hope. There is no other option.
