You Sent Your Word

This song by Don Meon keeps on coming up in my mind lately. – https://youtu.be/0H2PxM4LmnM

This coming Friday and Saturday, we will be traveling to Indiana University to visit Alex for parent weekend. I bought our airline tickets early summer when I heard that this weekend is super busy and warned by the IU parent Facebook group to book everything early.

Since things were okay at home and with Alex, I planned ahead without much thought. After dropping her off and how horrible it went, I’m getting anxious about seeing her soon. It’s not nice to feel tense about seeing your own child. I suppose I’ve been very fortunate since many parents struggle with their teenagers living at home for a long time. With Alex, this has been the toughest months. She has always been a good daughter and very responsible student. I rarely worried about her, nor did she give us much grief…Thank you so much Jesus for this blessing. 🙏 I don’t think I ever thanked you for this awesome blessing before. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Phoenician woman in the Bible. I didn’t think too much about her and her background until recently. I suppose we never fully understand others until we ourselves experience the same struggles. I found this very good article about this woman. It was very interesting and informative. – https://jewsforjesus.org/publications/inherit/jesus-and-the-canaanite-woman

I’m nervous about being hopeful. But isn’t God and Jesus for real? Hope in God! Hope in Jesus! Hope all is well with Alex, not because of my efforts but because Jesus sent His word and healed Alex. Believe His word.

I’ll update upon seeing Alex soon. O if I can chat with the Phoenician woman right now and hear her thoughts when traveling back home to see her daughter.

I just joined a new Facebook group called “Autism Overturned”. It’s created by a man who was healed from his autism and OCD. I wanted to learn more because there are so many families in New Jersey that come to our state due to our excellent educational support system for children with autism. That’s what my mom friends with children diagnosed with autism have told me. There are many parents who share their testimonies and encouragement in this group about their children being healed of autism. These parents are also asking Jesus on behalf of their children for their healing. If you want to read their stories, please look for this group. – https://www.facebook.com/groups/257808772150303/?ref=share
