Heads-Up about 2022

I shared this with my prayer group ladies and I’d like to give you a heads-up too. Please pray for God’s mercy, stay close to the Lord, build up the church community and enlarge our tents to hold more people who may run to the body of Christ for cover in 2022.

Heads-Up About 2022: I shared last week a message by TSC pastor Carter Colon on Ezekiel 37. If you listened to his message, then you caught what he said briefly at the end. What he said at the end really stood out to me, and despite trying to dismiss his heads-up I am reminded of his good track record. I really think we need to take his warning seriously, and pray and prepare ourselves ahead for 2022. Pastor Carter Colon said he believes 2022 will be a year of great fear. 😳 I really don’t like hearing this heads-up since 2020 and 2021 were such tough years. Here is the message if you want to listen for yourself. http://sermons.tsc.nyc/calling-to-the-breath-of-god/

I wasn’t in the church body in 2001 when 9/11 happened. Therefore, out of curiosity, a few years ago I went back to TSC website to see what they had to say to their church after 9/11. I was not surprised that the leaders at TSC were given a heads up from the Lord that a great tragic event is coming to NYC. In 2001, pastor Carter Colon was the new lead pastor of TSC and the founding pastor David Wilkerson moved on to do another ministry. However, he came back to TSC to share this message from the Lord after 9/11. If you go back to their messages from 2001, there are five on their website. I am re-listening to all of them again. http://sermons.tsc.nyc/the-towers-have-fallen-but-we-missed-the-message/

I was conflicted on whether or not I should alarm you about the heads-up on 2022 by pastor Carter Colon. I know how weary we all are. But it felt wrong to keep this heads-up warning to myself and my close friend’s circle. So please pray and ponder about the heads-up. What does this warning mean for us? Well, whenever we get a weather warning about a hurricane or tornado, we prepare ahead by buying extra food and water, and we bunker down at home. We are not out and about like nothing is heading our way, and doing unnecessary activities. We plan and prepare ahead. I think it’s the same way for a spiritual heads-up. We plug in deeper into the word of God, the Bible which is like storing up on our spiritual food and drink. We come inside and settle in the body of Christ, the church community. (If meeting in-person is not possible, then there are many online small groups happening in churches everywhere. I’ve been part of TSC’s online weekly women’s small group since January. As we are ending our group officially, we are now talking about meeting couple of times a month to fellowship and pray together.)

Even if pastor Carter Colon is wrong about 2022; it is a biblical principle for us to study our Bible daily and diligently, and to get plugged into the church community. You should be obeying these basic principles in all seasons of life and weather. I just realized something, Covid happened right before their leadership transition at TSC; just like 9/11 happened right before their new leadership transition. TSC better not have any new leadership change for a long while!! 🙏😂

More On Angels: Changing the topic to something brighter, I came across this news and I think it’ll uplift you to hear their story. This mom believes an angel came and saved her son’s life. 🙂https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2021/december/angel-in-a-pickup-truck-mystery-stranger-stops-to-save-choking-little-boys-life-in-incredible-miracle-that-left-mom-in-tears

Perhaps it’s because I just finished Billy Graham’s book on Angels but I’ve been thinking more about what happened during hurricane Sandy in 2012. If you weren’t living in NJ/NY during hurricane Sandy, it was a very big deal here. I remember how scared we all were. Fortunately, I was following God again, and I was plugged into the mom’s prayer group at PAC. Our prayer group was group texting, emailing, comforting and praying for one another, our church, community and state during the hurricane. I remember praying this specific request too – that God will provide us with many extra angels to keep us, our families, our homes, our properties, our streets and our church building safe.

In the middle of the night, a neighbor’s big tree fell where our children’s rooms were with a loud noise. After checking in on them, we went back to sleep. After the hurricane was over, we went out to see if there was any damage done by this tree. There wasn’t any damage to our home or property. This big tree missed hitting our roof by a foot, and inches from hitting the AC unit. I saw that the tree broke off in the lower middle of the trunk and how very fortunate we were. Not being out in nature much, I didn’t realize how unusually this tree has fallen. Last year, when we went hiking a lot in NJ and PA trails, I saw that when trees fall down, it mostly falls from the roots! Had this tree fallen in a typical fashion then it would have hit our house terribly where our children’s rooms are located.
When I was at church this Sunday, I thanked God again for saving our house and protecting our children from the fallen tree during hurricane Sandy. I thanked Him for perhaps using one of His strong angels so that the tree fell the way it did.

If you are not plugged into a local church community and fellowship group, please pray about finding one in 2022. Many churches start new small groups in January. Remember, there are no perfect churches and small groups, as there are no perfect marriages. Also, please save this quick-sheet about Christian cults on your phone photos, and stay away from churches and groups that this sheet warns about. If you aren’t sure, please call me to discuss and we’ll pray together too.

Being plugged into a church community is most important to drive out fear from your heart and mind. Hopefully, pastor Carter Colon is not going to right about 2022, but if he is then at least you will be prepared to fight fear effectively. In my experiences, it starts with being rooted in the word of God, being joined to a community of believers, meeting and praying with them regularly.
