Ukraine 🇺🇦

It’s been a while since my last post. Here is an email that I shared with my prayer group ladies yesterday about Ukraine.

Hello ladies, I pray that you and your family are doing as well as possible in such unsettling times that seem to come without any intermission in the last two years. Howard and I have been watching CBS Sunday Morning News for several years. I find their news hour both informative and interesting, and I enjoy the vast array of subjects they cover. This Sunday, they had several clips about Ukraine. I knew nothing about Ukraine and its history; their short reports gave me a good history of their past, current situation, experts interviewed, and even a psychological analysis of what Putin wants. It would be very informative for anyone that is praying for Ukraine and Russia. – https://www.cbs.com/shows/cbs-sunday-morning/video/f_yJ9fDoQilYzz1EGWgfBCYUqaKM_z7_/-sunday-morning-full-episode-2-27/

When I was called into the position of intercessory prayer by the Holy Spirit in the academic year of 2016-2017, I had no idea what this meant.  All I knew was that I was supposed to pray for the greater good of the church body until I am relieved from my assignment.  In my first few months, I discovered that it was a dangerous job because I faced so many scary spiritual warfare.  I was a great coward at heart in spiritual matters, and the only reason why I didn’t runaway and abort my post, was because my fear of God was greater.  This is why I believe having a good, healthy fear of the Lord is very good for you as a follower of Jesus Christ.  There are just too many situations when you want to run from the enemy and whatever challenges that come to you when you are advancing forward the Kingdom of God per His orders.

In the last two years, I have very reluctantly started to pray about subjects of politics and policies. I just didn’t want to go to those controversial areas in prayer and discussions. I understand your hesitations too. Please listen to this hour-long message by pastor Derek Prince’s message on “Ruling By Prayer” and hear his incredible testimonies and good biblical principles that he shares about ruling by prayer. It is something that I have heard several times.

I pray that the scriptures shared below in this week’s MIP prayer sheet give you comfort and peace as you pray for your family, church, community, country and other countries.

Deuteronomy 2:7 (NIV) – The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.

Psalm 65:9-13 9 You care for the land and water it;
you enrich it abundantly.
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,
for so you have ordained it.
10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
11 You crown the year with your bounty,
and your carts overflow with abundance.
12 The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;
the hills are clothed with gladness.
13 The meadows are covered with flocks
and the valleys are mantled with grain;
they shout for joy and sing.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 10:10 – The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Romans 8:32 – He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
