Biblical Theology with Dr. RT Kendall

As I continue to see more and more that our culture is becoming like the “days of Noah”, I realize how critical it is to know our Bible. There are too many well-meaning Christians who are biblically illiterate. They are all very smart people with higher education too. I pray and hope that the Holy Spirit will keep on using me to sound the alarm in our affluent communities. I recently shared these resources with my prayer group ladies for self-studying. I hope these help you too.

Hello ladies! I spend an enormous amount of time on self-studying the bible and theology. I would love to attend a seminary school but since I cannot, I self-study with free materials available online. Why free? Because my husband already thinks that I am too hardcore in my faith, and so if I spend money on my study resources then he’ll really believe that I’m in a cult after reading the book titles and themes. 😂

As I scroll through the World Wide Web for Bible teachers and theologians to help me understand the bible and its backstory better, I see more and more how essential it is that I am grounded in the Bible for myself. After studying the Bible for several hours a day for the past eleven years, I see how I barely touched the surface! I have never discovered anything like the Bible that is just so casually sitting on our book shelf – the more I uncover, the more I see there is more, more and more! Bible is truly our most valuable treasure on this earth.

As our world becomes more “like the days of Noah” before Jesus’ return, please pray for yourself and your family members. However, you must not only pray, but you must also study the Bible daily and diligently. This is the only way to keep yourself aligned to God’s truths and not be deceived in the last days. How tragic it would be if you find that you have wasted your energy, money, talents and time on something that never mattered for eternity or to our God, who is our Boss.

Until we move ourselves into Heaven, we must study the Bible continually on earth. I know it is not glamorous but it is our “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.” If you don’t have too much time to sit down and read, then there are great audio bibles. Biblegateway.com offer free ones in NIV and other good translations.

Dr. R. T. Kendall has great YouTube videos that teach good, sound biblical theology. He taught at Westminster Chapel in England for many years. He is a well-learned bible scholar and a great teacher to laypeople. He grew up in Kentucky and has many fun stories to share of his younger years and also tough stories in his ministry work through the war years and after. We who grew up at only peace times, have so much to learn from those who lived through the war times. – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnxhMKp-bMorsWK3l0vBfhQ/videos

By the way, it’s okay to not agree with a Bible teacher or a ministry friend’s thoughts and conclusions. Just ask the Holy Spirit to help you and give you peace and unity. Many times I put controversial topics (e.g. different roles in the church, denominational differences in baptism of the Holy Spirit, supernatural and cultural issues, etc.) on the shelf and trust that the Holy Spirit will reveal His revelation to me in the proper time when necessary. St Augustine wrapped it up so succulently – “In what is necessary, unity; in what is not necessary, liberty and in all things charity.”

When the Holy Spirit asked me to lead a women’s prayer group at my church seven years ago without a co-leader, I was so nervous. I like having a co-leader. I remember asking how I should lead and the Holy Spirit gave me Psalm 133. I go back to this Psalm over and over again.
Psalm 133 (NKJV)
Blessed Unity of the People of God
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the Lord commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.
