Hello this is another message that I shared recently with my prayer ladies. Please pray on your own this week for your children and grandchildren using the MIP theme “God guards”. The prayer sheet link is attached below. Another way that God guards us is by giving us warnings as we study the Bible and alerts us to what is happening in our society. I was so surprised to learn from a recent NJ news article that sexually transmitted diseases went up in 2020 in our state! I thought at the height of the Covid pandemic, people would have abstained from casual sex. It also reported that 15-24 age group’s STD rates were higher than 2019 numbers.

I’ve shared with you before that CDC’s  2019 report on STDs in our country revealed the highest levels across all age groups. So I am sure we can use this latest NJ report to generalize across our country. 

With all the safe sex education in the high schools, you’d think that the teenager and young adults would be very careful. Well, they are not. So it’s very important to pray proactively that God guards our children and grandchildren from partners who have STDs. Even more better, pray that they abstain from sex until they get married.  

Please also inform the young people that giving and receiving oral sex can expose them to herpes and HPV viruses that can develop into cancer in the mouth areas later. I also read an Israeli research report that herpes virus may be linked to MS disease.

There is such a loud and strong message from the entertainment industry that having sex is necessary for one’s health and wellness, or that having only one partner for life is an abnormality. That is a lie straight from hell. We must pray proactively to destroy these wrong messages in the entertainment airwaves. Especially as the treatments for STDs have become more drug resistant. 

I heard a message once from pastor Gary Hamrick about the paralyzed man brought to Jesus by his friends. As he was speculating about how this man became paralyzed, pastor Hamrick mentioned that it is possible the man had a very advanced stage of a certain STD. Before modern medicine, people suffered terribly when they contracted a STD. 

Sorry for digressing on this topic but I guess I’m still shocked by the NJ report on STD rates for 2020. Please, please pray for God to guard our young people and your family members who are sexually active. It’s also a smart idea for tell them to get tested if they decide to stop using protection with their sex partner, even with someone from church. We have seen recently many pastors and church leaders who stepped down due to sexual infidelities. 

One more thing – Jesus Christ still the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Jesus can heal anyone completely who comes to him for healing. Please remember this. Please seek full medical help that is available to you, and also ask Jesus for healing too. Sometimes when your faith is weak, you need good friends to carry you to Jesus. Develop good friends in the church community when you are healthy by serving one another. This paralyzed man in the Bible had very good friends who loved him to not leave him alone in his paralyzed state but carried him to Jesus with great effort. Do you have such friends in the body of Christ? If not, please do something about your vulnerable situation.
