Below is my email message sent to my prayer ladies today.
1. This Wednesday, 10/26 at 1pm we will be using the next MIP prayer theme, “God is Love”. Our concept about what love is completely wrong. One of the first things that I had to unlearn was my definition of love acquired mostly through entertainment and movies, and relearn it completely anew by reading and reflecting on what the Bible says love is. Once I saw how it is impossible to live up to the standards of God’s love, it is then I stepped off my self-righteousness and probably humbled myself before the Lord Jesus for the very first time.
Here is the famous bible chapter about what love is according to scripture: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2013&version=NKJV
2. This devotional really blessed me recently. I was having one of those days when I felt overwhelmed and saying to myself within, “How the heck am I going to live this Christian life and follow Christ for another 30 years or so?” Our God the Father who is very good and kind, and knows our innermost thoughts even before we think them. He sent this good word to refresh my soul that day. If you are also feeling this way, please read this message and may it bless and encourage you too.
3. One of our members shared this article with me. It’s a testimony by a ex-satanist and high-ranking warlock in NYC on what they would do leading up to Halloween. I told you that ever since I became a prayer group leader in 2016 that I really started to experience and feel the effects of their activities. Please keep praying for all your Christian leadership that you follow in-person and virtually. Please pray for one another extra more. Do not put your guard down in prayer and in being wise about the tactics of the enemy to sabotage your workplace, ministry, church, family, marriage, relationships. If you have not mastered the art of self-control in the Holy Spirit, then stay low and keep your “typing” fingers and mouth shut off as much as possible for the remainder of the week. This is my advice to you from my personal experiences. This is what I am trying to do as much as I can. We are almost there to November. – https://www.christianpost.com/news/ex-satanist-warns-against-one-night-stands-with-devil.html
I grew up in Queens, NY where on Halloween day we’d go straight home after school, not to get ready for trick-or-treating but to hide from danger. Halloween night was a night of mayhem and danger in these neighborhoods. I never liked Halloween until I came to suburban NJ where it was cute and fun here. However, my instincts are telling me it is no longer safe in our suburban neighborhoods too.
I have been supporting human trafficking awareness for nearly 12 years now. In the recent A21 March that I participated in last weekend, Miss New Jersey 2022 was our featured guest speaker for our local NJ march. She became involved in raising awareness for human trafficking ever since she almost became a victim of kidnapping in college. She taught us about trusting your gut instincts and running away from danger. If it wasn’t for her trusting her gut instincts, I’m certain she would have been taken. Statistically, only 1% of kidnapped victims are found.
If you can not control your teenagers and adult children going out, please make sure that they are covered head-to-toe with your prayers. Come to our prayer meeting tomorrow – one of the most powerful actions that you can do for your children and grandchildren is praying for them. If you are going out trick-or-treating with your younger children and grandchildren, please keep a close eye on them.
4. Recently I heard about “Goshen” from couple of different prophets. I didn’t know anything about the land of Goshen in the Bible. I thought it was very fascinating information. God will never take his eyes off of us and our family members because our hope and trust is in Him. Praise the Lord Jesus! https://www.gotquestions.org/land-of-Goshen.html
May these resources bless, encourage, comfort and warn you too. With love and prayers from your librarian.
Psalm 121 (NKJV)
God the Help of Those Who Seek Him
A Song of Ascents.
I will lift up my eyes to the hill—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
2 Timothy 1:7 (AMPC)
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
