I shared these resources with my prayer group ladies recently. I hope they are helpful to you too.
Hello ladies! I hope you and your families are having a peaceful winter break. I know life is busier and hectic when the kids are home. As you are probably cleaning and cooking more, then you may have more time to listen to these podcasts. These podcasts are interviews and testimonies that I was blessed and greatly informed by. I hope they give you encouragement and wisdom to you too.
1. Journalist writes about the video gaming history and today’s situation of mostly young men who game alone. There’s a Christian college ministry who has embraced this situation and made a successful outreach program! I’ve never heard of anything like this. It is so creative. This is worth a listen/read and pray about sharing it with your church’s youth pastors too.

I’m thinking about Mother Teresa’s observation of our First World nations: “The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty — it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There’s a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God.”
2. I really love to hear testimonies of the most unlikely people who came to faith in Jesus Christ. It gives me hope about the many people who I pray for. When I have been praying for their salvation for so long and nothing has happened; it can be very difficult to believe and have faith. Personally, I wish that many roads lead to heaven but since Jesus said He is the only way; I have no option but to keep on praying and planting seeds in the people who I love and concerned about. – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2014&version=NASB
Here is an orthodox Jewish man sharing his story on what led him to seek Jesus. And God even used the Mormons!

I have many friends who are Hindu-Americans. Many times their families are better off than mine with greater family love and unity. I’ve always admire their good values and work ethics too. This Hindu woman came from a loving and successful family. Despite her career as a doctor, she was empty inside and determined to end her life. Hear her story and how her one Christian friend made a huge impact in helping her to consider Jesus Christ. I also learned a few tips on reaching my Hindu friends.
I am reminded about this quote by CS Lewis: “If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”

3. Suicide is the number 2 killer of young people in the USA. I think it might be number 1 since “accidents” are clumped together with many causes of death such as drug overdoses, car accidents, etc. I heard this lady speak about suicide being a spiritual attack. I can’t locate the show that I watched but here is the link to her book on this topic if anyone is interested.

On her website I also found 100 bible verses on faith and healing. God’s word has a natural way of healing us so even if your health and mental states are good currently, it is wise to have these bible verses handy for moments when you need them.

This short podcast about the power of endurance was excellent. I especially agreed with his one comment that as a pastor he is most concerned about believers who have stopped fighting; who have taken off their boxing gloves. How accurate his statement is. I’ve wanted to give up countless times in the last 12 years. I’m actually amazed that I’m still going. This is the power of the Holy Spirit. I look forward to heaven when my struggles against sin and despair come to an end. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/marked-for-eternity/id1617114424?i=1000591424028
During Christmas season I gathered some nice pictures for encouragement of truth.
