During the pandemic lockdown, I was led to study the book of Revelation which is biblical prophecies of things to come. I think I did enough research with a variety of well-respected teachers to have good confidence in what I believe. Basically, my roots are in deep on the foundation in the Bible.
I was never interested in politics but during the pandemic lockdown, this was another area that I had to look into as well. Both prophecies and politics felt like taking tough subjects in college because they were required classes for your higher ed degree. Since they are required curriculum; I don’t think you can ignore these subjects when they are presented to you by the Holy Spirit, our school guidance counselor.
A good ministry friend of mine whom I trust shared with me this prophetic ministry with me during the pandemic lockdown. I subscribe to receive their updates and read their messages. Generally I enjoy reading the stories and find them interesting and encouraging. However, this word of the Lord for 2023 was daunting. Please read this message and you can ponder and pray about it. https://www.generals.org/blog/word-of-the-lord-for-2023
Though the prophetic word for 2023 is daunting, there are very good advice and survival strategies in there too. When I read these prophetic messages, I put them on the shelf in my mind and heart. As the return of Jesus Christ gets closer, the world events will only get more intense. It’s an opportunity for revival and salvation of souls.
There are many things in there but these three points stand out to me most (I bolded and italicized them):
1. “Humility was deeply stressed for the coming days. The word that came to us was, “Bend low, for the sword of the Lord is coming.” Part of this humility must be to give the glory to God, and not look for credit for what we have prophesied. Do we require credit?” (excellent advice; always check my humility)
2. “God is going to reveal Himself as the Good Shepherd to us, Who will lead us beside still waters and green pastures. The admonition is to stay very close to Him, and He will lead and guide us in troubled times.” (Yes, stay very close to Jesus.)
3. “Provisions are coming for God’s people. We were given the analogy that the “camels are coming” with all we need for our financial harvest.(Is. 60:6). As the Body of Christ drinks deeply of the Word of God, revelation will flow to show the directions we need to take in our lives. A cursory knowledge of scripture, of the milk of the Word, will simply not be enough to release you into what God wants to show you.” (We have to go beyond the fluffy and sweet subjects.)
Yesterday at my church the new youth pastor gave his first message to the congregation. He did a wonderful job. His sermon was from Psalm 46. He also shared a old worship song which helped him tremendously when his grandmother died during the height of the pandemic from Covid. He had to say goodbye to her via FaceTime and even her funeral was done virtually. He said it was the most difficult thing that he ever had to deal with in his life. This song helped him to get pass this very difficult season. It is a beautiful song and lyric.
TRUST HIS HEART
All things work for our good
Though sometimes we don’t see
How they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blind us to the truth
Our Father knows what’s best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway grows dim
And you just don’t see Him,
Remember you’re never alone
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart
Trust His Heart
He sees the master plan
And he holds our future in His hand,
So don’t live as those who have no hope,
All our hope is found in Him
We see the present clearly
But He sees the first and the last
And like a tapestry He’s weaving you and me,
To someday be just like Him
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart
He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart
When you don’t understand
When you don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart
Trust His Heart

In case you are wondering, no I am not led to share this word of the Lord with my prayer group ladies. I’ve only shared it with a select few friends. Majority of the ladies in the prayer group can’t handle this daunting message. We all are dealing with so much in our personal lives and can’t handle these daunting prophetic thoughts. It’s okay. God’s got them.
On a side note, this movie about CS Lewis looks amazing. He lived through so much trauma and pain. Despite all that, God’s love and grace brought him through to the other side of faith. https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/entertainment/2022/december/c-s-lewis-atheism-and-argument-against-god-were-totally-imploded-by-stunning-realization-leading-him-to-christ
Perhaps it’s not always good to know what is coming up next. Boy, I am so glad that I am not called to be a prophet or politician! I will stay in my cozy prayer closet and a librarian role any day. Although God puts me out there in the community for his kingdom work. I take a deep breath and dive in to the work that He gives me to do to benefit the people in the community.
