With the revival in Asbury University spreading to other Christian universities, this ministry that I subscribe to sent out this weekly newsletter on “What is Christian Revival?” It was a very good article on what revival is and should produce in believers and church community. If you haven’t heard about the revival of 1970s in the western coast of USA, please watch this movie trailer. I heard from a pastor who was saved in this revival and who was in the team that was helping it to spread to the rest of the country; he said he doesn’t really understand what happened but that it stopped abruptly in Indiana. And that’s where my daughter attends college. Hmm…perhaps this is why she is there. Our Indiana University Praying Parent group was created last year on Facebook. Today there are nearly 320 people in our group and a small group of us pray weekly together on Fridays. Let’s watch and see what God does with our persistence and prayers. Hello ladies! Please read my testimony below and carefully consider and pray about where you are in your faith and devotion to Jesus Christ. Like Moses, I found out that there is no hiding, and eventually when God wants you back, you will have a powerful “burning bush” moment where either you go back to God, or you have to turn away from God deliberately. I highly urge you to choose God wholeheartedly because there is an enemy who wants you isolated and to walk away in order to destroy you and your family. This prayer chapter by Stormie Omartian is excellent. Please read it, be warned and say the prayers out loud for yourself with humility and brokenness.

Attached is the next chapter from the Power of the Praying Woman book by Stormie Omartian. Please pardon the poor scanning and my underling. This is a very important and serious chapter. As I was praying about how to introduce this heavy chapter I am lead to share my personal testimony. 

I left our Father’s house and the church in my mid-20s after following Jesus very passionately for five years. My main reason was that I was a very discouraged and defeated child of God and I also no longer wanted to battle. The churches and its leaders were falling publicly from their sins all across the country, and I also witnessed that God’s people lived defeated and poor lives.  Eventually I believed that this life of abundance which Jesus promised is not attainable.  I didn’t know what else to do but to run and hide.  And so I made up my mind to become like “Switzerland”, completely neutral and shut off to all spirituality and its battles, which I seem to be highly attuned and sensitive to. 

I lived quite normally and successfully as a non-spiritual and neutral person for many years or so I thought in my delusion.  By God’s mercy and grace in His perfect time, my eyes were opened to the truth that I was never a “Switzerland”.  In fact, I was in Satan’s jurisdiction and so were my children!  Therefore, I was being used quite frequently against my own family members especially my offsprings.  Your good intentions and great love for your children will not protect you from being used against your own children by the enemy if you are not following Jesus wholeheartedly. 

There are two teams – Team Jesus or Team Satan.  There is no “Switzerland” spiritual zone as long as we are on this earth. Therefore it’s good to understand these spiritual principles, and to know that our absolute safety and security is in Jesus Christ. 

Additionally I have discovered that what Jesus promised is true!  There is an abundant life through Him. This abundance didn’t come right away but as I aligned my mind and heart to God’s perfect laws and principles; little by little the abundant life grew more and more.  Praise God!
