Collegiate Day of Prayer is this Thursday! Please adopt a college campus to pray for. I just signed up to commit to praying for my daughter’s college. There are 40 prayer points in their guide, and last year after the corporate day of prayer, I went through each prayer point once per week. If you’d like to join us in doing this, please join our Indiana University Praying Parent Facebook group that I manage. It was very meaningful to pray together slowly and methodically on each prayer point once a week. See if your local colleges or your alumni college is being covered in prayer by anyone. If not, please consider helping out with your commitment to pray for this college.
I’ve been learning from Canadian pastor Carey Nieuwhof for a while now. He’s a solid teacher and super smart. I really like how he responded about the Asbury University Revival. Apparently, there are many Christian leaders criticizing this movement.
5 Thoughts on the Asbury Revival for Pastorscareynieuwhof.com
Last week I met a younger friend who just had a baby boy. Towards the end of our lunch as she asked me how I was doing; I had to bite my lip and look away to stop myself from crying. Perhaps I have heard and seen too much being around educators, parents and therapists in secular communities but Gen Z is not well. Gen Alpha (right behind them) are experiencing the forces of evil at younger ages than Gen Z and so, it seems impossible to protect them before ten in public schools. Even if your kids are homeschooled or attend private schools, how long can you keep them in a bubble and protect them? Therefore, whether you have a Gen Z or Gen Alpha; it benefits your children/grandchildren to be open to a revival. It is impossible to protect them anymore with extra money, effort and resources. This is my honest opinion from my frontline perspective and many research reports read about the youth.
Here is the last sermon message at the Asbury University chapel that started the revival on that unplanned Wednesday morning in February. He’s a pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA) organization that my church is affiliated with. 🙂 By the way, CMA was started by a young man who was impacted powerfully by the Azusa street revival in early 1900s. Azusa street revival lasted about three years and produced a tremendous harvest and yielded so much fruit. Please watch this documentary about the Azusa street revival. It’s so inspiring what our God is capable of doing! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lp-rjyDVrGU

I occasionally listen to this young evangelist. He has a lot of energy and enthusiasm. He also has an amazing testimony of his salvation if you want to google him to hear his story. Here is his recap of the revival with secular news coverage too. It was very good.
