Friends in Christ + Trial vs Temptation

There will be a public hearing by our former principal and his lawyers to the BOE. Please keep them in your prayers as they get prepared for the public hearing. Please pray for the softening of the BOE members’ hearts and minds. Please pray for sustained public pressure, and more people to support and help with our principal’s reinstatement. Also please keep me in your prayers since the Facebook group that was created since he was ousted has grown to over 800 members in only six weeks. It has been very time-consuming for me to manage the members, the comments and the controversies that keep coming up. I need more of God’s wisdom, strength and protection. Please pray that more of God’s people will surround the principal and me too as we are being obedient in the spotlight. I also need my husband and my son to keep on being understanding and be supporters of this effort, even if from the sidelines. I know that the prayers of many saints will be most impactful for the principal and my role in supporting him. I still believe in my heart that getting him reinstated as principal will be the best blessing and protection for the high school. Thank you so much for your prayers.

This past Sunday I was ready to call it quits with my efforts in supporting the principal. So much happened on this day and I was just so tired of the drama. My thoughts went to “Who cares? It doesn’t affect my son so why am I doing this?” Then I was praying with my friends on Monday morning, and they literally carried me through my defeated phase, and their support and prayers gave me renewed strength to continue on. There’s a BOE meeting tonight and I’ll be attending the meeting with my husband’s blessing. Praise God! We got to keep the steady public pressure on the BOE. Let’s see what God does with our efforts and prayers. Dear Lord Jesus, please help the parents to come out tonight. So many of us are so tired. Thank you for being our help and strength.

In my bible study group this past Monday, we were discussing Matthew 18. Jesus’ parable about the unforgiving servant stood out to me. This parable is about two servants aka believers. When the other servants saw injustice done by another servant to a fellow servant, they reported back to their king in anguish. This is what I have been doing and the king aka God rendered punishment to the unmerciful servant. – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2018&version=NKJV

Trial vs Temptation– I thought this sermon by pastor RT Kendall was excellent. He explains the biblical difference between trial and temptation. He also shares his own experience when he and his family went through a season of testing and how he navigated through that tough test season. We can learn a lot by listening to the older saints. Most times, when I’m about to enter a test or trial, I am given a heads up about the big test of faith coming up. Like a good school teacher, the Holy Spirit gives me a lot of good preparation before the test. He can be quiet too during the test. But in real school, isn’t t this also true in the classrooms? The more you study in advance, the more likely you will pass your test when the time comes for testing. Please study your bible daily and diligently. I love bible study groups and I try to sign up for one every fall and spring semesters. In summers and winters, I do my own study.

Right before this test was coming up for me in supporting the principal publicly, I received these bible verses:

Genesis 15:1 (NASB) – “Do not fear, Abram,
I am a shield to you; Your reward shall be very great.”

1 Samuel 15:22-23 (AMP) 22 Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obedience to the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed [is better] than the fat of rams. 23
“For rebellion is as [serious as] the sin of divination (fortune-telling), And disobedience is as [serious as] false religion and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you as king.” (This is about King Saul who was rejected by God as king of Israel. I believe God has rejected the superintendent as the leader too. I know she talks about her faith and upbringing as a Christian.)

For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. (Luke 8:17 NKJV)

“Wives: be submitted to your husbands as is appropriate in the Lord.” – Colossians 3:18 (VOICE) (God comes first and then family. However you must know your bible very well because believers can be deceived by their emotions and lies of the enemy.)

Corinthians 1:27 (NIV) – But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
