The last two months have been really, really busy for me as I have been called by the Holy Spirit to assist with the principal situation in our high school. The public hearing is scheduled for this coming Monday, 5/15 evening. There has been much media coverage on this situation. I ask for your continued prayers and for favorable outcome for our high school community.
The Parents Facebook group that was created in the aftermath of the principal’s removal has grown to 812 members. Please pray for us – the parents, the admins and moderators. It also appears that there will be a nonprofit organization emerging from this movement too. Oh my!
I received this word from the Lord right before this whole thing began. He knew that I needed it to hear this promise to hold onto it for the courage needed from me, and to keep up with the unfamiliar work ahead.
Genesis 15:1 (NASB) “Do not fear, Abram,
I am a shield to you; Your reward shall be very great.”
Yesterday when I went to my church sanctuary for our weekly prayer meeting, I received this bible verse from the Holy Spirit regarding the hearing. https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/Proverbs%2018%3A17. Thank you for your continued prayers.
Here are some resources that I shared with my prayer group recently. I hope and pray that these messages will bless and help you.
Fear of the Lord is Clean: This was an excellent message. I’ve heard many of this pastor’s messages and they are all very good. His book that I read few years ago was excellent too. The book link is below. Boy, I wish all believers would have the fear of the Lord first and foremost. Then they will not dare sin so willfully and then they will have so much less drama and turmoil in their lives to be rescued from later.

Blocks to healing: When healing doesn’t happen after much prayers then you really shouldn’t just give up. You should study the biblical reasons and listen to the experts. God has commissioned pastor David Hernandez to be a healing evangelist for the church body. He has much experience with this and has much biblical knowledge too. He’s young but he is faithful and teachable. He grew up in the church (three generations of pastors) and never strayed away too. Please give him a listen if you or your loved one needs healing of the heart, mind, body. I listened to this message twice because he covers A LOT. Also, he announced that he is coming to Brooklyn in June! Please go to his ministry website and pray about attending his meeting if you need a supernatural touch from the Lord.

Hearing God’s voice – I just heard two excellent messages about hearing God’s voice. It is so important that we understand, adhere to and respect the spiritual teachings in the Bible because we can keep ourselves safe from deception and from much grief.
This pastor is young but he is full of biblical wisdom and experiences. He’s third generation of pastoral ministers, and plus he never strayed away from following God as so many young Christians kids do. He is also involved in the supernatural ministry and very experienced with healing, miracles and deliverances. He mainly does outreaches in the West coast. I’ve learned a lot from him over several years once I discovered him. He is a safe source.
In this message, one key takeaway is that God’s word in the Bible is like a foundation and structure of a house. The supernatural experiences like healing, miracles, and visions are like the accessories and decorations for the house. I love this analogy and I agree. I don’t have many supernatural experiences but the few that I do have, they are like beautiful and valuable paintings for my house and whenever I have guests over, I love to show and talk about these paintings. I don’t really show you my house foundation and structures unless we are doing a bible study; but without this solid foundation and coverage, all my nice paintings and house accessories will be destroyed. Therefore we must establish our foundation and build our house structure first and foremost; and that my friends only come by hearing, studying and obeying the word of God in the Bible.
Here is the message from pastor David Hernandez. He’s solid in his scripture knowledge and safe in his interpretations which is super important, especially since he is involved in supernatural ministry. There is also another excellent message from TSC guest speaker on how to hear God’s voice.

It’s really important to establish a daily schedule of spending time with God alone in prayer and bible reading. I like to start my day with God first and so I wake up very early for do this. If you are new to bible reading, get a bible reading plan. Bible is not something that you read once and put it on the shelf. It’s the word of Almighty God who gave us the ability to read the BIBLE – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. He expects us to be learning and studying his manual for our entire journey on earth. If we didn’t know how to read or have access to the Bible then our accountability would be different but we have no excuse.
One more thing, whenever I need to make an important decision and I’m not sure if I’m hearing from God correctly, I surround myself with good mature believers and ask them to pray for my decision, especially the ones that involve my children and marriage. These decisions are the most difficult ones to follow through. It is necessary to have godly and mature believers around me who can support me through my difficult decision-making process and obedience. If you get these things right, then you will find that other decision-making and obedience will not be so hard.
I save this funny comic picture of a very distracted sheep. Unfortunately the consequences of not listening to our Good Shepherd is very detrimental and severe. Please be careful and mindful about that reality when you’re making a big important decision. Surround yourself with good mature believers who have gone through these difficult paths successfully. The only way you’ll know who has, is by getting involved in a local church community and having relationships in the church through small groups and regular volunteering.
