I listened to these podcasts recently and I thought how full of wisdom they are. Please give these a listen and pray about sharing them with the young people in your life or those who are still on the fence about their wholehearted commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord. It is very difficult to truly give lordship to Jesus Christ for many reasons. In my experience, it is a daily decision to submit to Jesus’ lordship. This is the main reason why I start my day in the morning with prayer, repentance and reading God’s word.
This is one of the best messages I’ve heard about the rich, young ruler. Even if you think you are not rich enough; we really are in the USA. Study the facts of today’s luxuries and leisurely time that we have compared to only a few decades ago; then you will find that we really have it easy. Oh, my goodness – how much I would have appreciated someone like this scientist to dispel my doubts about God when I was a college student studying science and psychology! When I was in high school, I remember my science teacher teaching us two theories about the origin of life – Creation and Evolution. We also were taught what a theory is. I’m not sure how they teach this in today’s public education, but I hope they are still teaching this concept as theories and spending equal amount of time on both theories as my biology teacher did.

Speaking about testimony, I’ve shared this one about Alice Cooper a few years ago but in case anyone missed it, here it is again. Alice Cooper is 75 years old today and he’s touring again. He’s not young anymore but he’s still very rich with his net worth at $50 million dollars. Let’s pray for him to continue using his fame and fortune for God’s glory, and to stay faithful and strong in his devotion to Jesus Christ, and his wife and family.

As you can see, God has put a fire in my bones to be an abolitionist against human trafficking, mainly child sexual trafficking. In my 13 years of tracking this slavery and praying so much about it; one thing that I cannot understand is how a person gets so evil and justifies themselves in raping young children, over and over and over again. This interview gave me a better, biblical understanding of such individuals. This interview is with the “Sound of Freedom” leads and it is hosted by a Christian psychologist who also worked with prison inmates of most heinous crimes. I just want to warn you that it is rather dark. But for those who are given the grace to lean in and listen, you will discover more about Tim Ballard’s wife who played a pivotal role in getting him to risk his life and their family security to rescue children caught in slavery. Jim Caviezel, the actor, also shared how he gets ready to play a very tough role – whether good or evil character. It was fascinating to hear the art of acting from a Christian actor’s point of view. They both also share what is next for both of them with the greater notoriety since this film’s release. As of today, it has made over $160 million dollars and it is being shown internationally too! I think their film expense was only $15 million dollars which is very small in movie industry’s standard. Please pray that more and more people will get involved in the fight against human trafficking. And if you are led to watch the movie, it is still playing in theaters. I didn’t think I was going to watch it but when my daughter offered to watch it with me, I was very surprised and so we saw it together last week. Movie is not as tough to watch as I had anticipated. They were very careful to not reveal too much. Hence, it is rated PG-13. But all the statistics shared in the movie are real.
