“Join us on Monday, January 15th at 8pm EST/5pm PST, as we explore Dr. Martin Luther King’s message of radical love, inspired by his sermon “Loving Your Enemies.” Through engaging discussions and testimonies, CT’s Nicole Martin and other Christian leaders will explore what it means to love our enemies in today’s world and how Dr. King’s enduring influence can help us live out Christ’s gospel of peace.”

Please also read this short pamphlet about MLK Jr by International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (link in below). Every year that I reread this pamphlet when they send it out, it always blesses and challenges me. Several years ago I read a book about MLK Jr. What amazed me is that he didn’t have to be in the frontlines of the civil rights movement. He lived a privileged life in a good church community with a pastor dad. He could have remained in that safe corner and be in the sidelines.
If social justice is very important to you then I suggest that you do a bible study on the book of Micah so that your foundation is based on God’s word like it was for MLK Jr. Here is Tony Evans’ short devotional about this book. His website offers many resources to delve deeper into a Bible book study.
For me, one social injustice that God has burdened me greatly since day one is on human trafficking, especially sexual trafficking of children. Today there are more than 50 million people who are being enslaved worldwide. For this reason alone, I believe that Jesus is coming back soon. January is Global Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Please visit some organizations that speak about this topic to learn more.
There are many members in my prayer group who are from South Korea like me. In my opinion, North Koreans are the most oppressed citizens in the world today. Please read this short article by CBN News and please pray for North Korea.
You might wonder what good is prayer to overcome such an evil and powerful regime. I understand your doubts since I have these thoughts myself. I greatly appreciate testimonies like these that are shared in this article about the power of prayer. I pray that these stories feed your soul with faith too.
This young man’s testimony really touched me. First, the title of the podcast caught my attention since I desire more joy within. I’m not sure if he answered my question on how to attain more joy but his experiences are out of this world. Since there are many more paranormal activities happening around us, it’s important to hear these stories so that we know what to do when we or our loved ones encounter these demonic creatures. You guessed it – you stay safe by going deep inside the church community. This is what happened to me 13 years ago and it helped me to quickly join my church and become involved with a small group immediately. Soon after, the demonic activities stopped around me.

May the Lord bless us and our loved ones, and keep us safe as we abide in Him and within His church community. 🙏
