This is a message that I sent to my prayer group yesterday.
Hello friends. We had very powerful prayer meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. When I was planning for the new spring semester, the only thing that I was informed at that point by the Holy Spirit was to establish another prayer meeting at my church. And so, I obeyed and submitted my request to my church to lead another prayer group. I wasnât told by the Holy Spirit on why and had my guesses. This past week, I received my instruction with multiple confirmations about our main prayer assignment. We are to pray against World War 3. My heart has been immensely burdened by this very serious news.
For the last several years, the Holy Spirit led me to read many autobiographies/biographies of everyday people who lived through World War 2. There is absolutely nothing good about a war. Plus we have been praying for a revival in our country since we started our prayer group. Sending our young people to war will rob us of this great revival that we have been praying diligently for. I refuse to accept a World War from robbing us of all the prayer and fasting work that we have been laboring for since 2016 for our youth to experience revival in America.

Shaping History Through Prayer and Fasting
Pastor Derek Prince was a professor of philosophy at a prestigious university in England before he was drafted by his British government. (In a world war, no one is safe from being drafted including academics.) He was a proud scholar without much regard or respect for his Angelican heritage and faith. He went to his family church on the major holy days like Easter and Christmas. Right before he was being shipped offshore to war, he was invited to a church by another soldier who he just met. He went thinking that receiving prayers would be helpful and so he went. It was a spirit-filled Pentecostal church. đ He received both salvation and baptism of the Holy Spirit all in one trip to this church. Thatâs what revival does! He served the body of Christ so much with his intelligence and discipline for many decades after. We always pray for more laborers to join our work for the Lord. Iâm a bit tired of hearing about gifted and talented men and women who get saved just a few days or hours before dying. I selfishly want more younger people to co-labor with us.
Friends, please pray against World War 3. Many of you I have met through my involvement with parent groups in our kidsâ schools and church groups. Therefore, like me you have teen and adult sons. During the start of the war in Ukraine, I saw a photo of a young man dressed in his new military uniform and rifle gun across his shoulder; he was also carrying a rolled-up yoga mat. I wonder sometimes if he is still alive. I saw pictures of men in that country from ages 18-40 who were held back to fight the invading Russian army, and saying good-byes to their wives and children boarding the train to flee their cities. I heard of sex traffickers targeting the young women and children evacuees in the chaos. We prayed so much against these evildoers but I wondered how many innocent souls we might have lost to these evil monsters.
There is no good thing about a war. Let me remind you of the number of lives killed in World War 2.

God revealed what was going to happen to his servants like Abraham, Moses, Daniel, Esther etc. Prayers of the righteous are powerful. I believe God has revealed this news to us because our prayers can change the outcome of history and prevent another world war. Many, many intercessors have been praying already against a world war from erupting, and now our prayer group is called to join them in this urgent hour. If you have a family member in the military, please join us because your inside information will help us to pray more strategically and insight. Your prayers for your family member in the military will help them and their peers immensely.
I share this fresh and heavy news from the Holy Spirit; and I pray that you will help us carry the burden with your prayers and intercession.
FYI – Times square church offers many more online community groups if you are looking for a group that meets in your available time. I joined their prayer group during the pandemic for a year and I still keep in touch with my group leader from there.
Another friend told me about Alpha study group. This study group is now available in our church. I didnât know much about it until I heard this interview with the pastor who formed this study group for the seekers and new believers in his church. This study program is available in many countries and churches if you want to find an online group.
For those who want a visual representation of Jesus and his ministry work, then I suggest the TV series called âThe Chosenâ. Itâs available in many streaming services and now they are in season 4. Iâve watched a few episodes already and I think they do a good job.
