Hello friends. Lately I’ve been reminded about a visit with Jesus Christ that I had about 13 years ago. I know that Jesus lives in us once we become saved and born-again believers. But this visit was very unique and special. (I don’t fully understand how all of this works but for me, I feel like my everyday counselor and teacher is the Holy Spirit and He mainly uses the word of God in the Bible to teach and led me. This is why we MUST read the Holy Bible daily and diligently.)
After my “burning bush” moment (read Exodus 3), I had to abruptly stop myself, turn around and go back to the ways of God and to body of Christ, the church. Since I lived it for five years in my college years, I knew exactly what was required of me. It was incredibly hard to pivot and turn around. I was pretty miserable one morning during my devotion time, and then suddenly I experienced a very special visit from Jesus Christ. I didn’t see Jesus but I knew that he was right there in my kitchen. His presence was pure, powerful and overwhelming. He spoke to me the same words, three times in perfect English and Korean. (I think I didn’t see Jesus but only heard his voice because from hearing testimonies of those who has heard and seen Jesus; they usually become so undone that they are unable to function for a long period of time. I had only an hour or so before family responsibilities.)
I was doing my quiet devotion and prayer time in my kitchen. Then suddenly I heard Jesus! First, he got my attention by calling me by my Korean name. He said “Ji-Eun ah”. I said, “Jesus?!” His voice was very powerful and yet very peaceful. His voice filled the entire kitchen. Next he said, “Gather my sheep.” I didn’t expect to hear him say that and I thought to myself “huh?” Then he said it again “Ji-Eun ah, gather my sheep.” I said with tears streaming down my face , “Yes, I will my Lord!”
Then Jesus said the exact same thing two more times. And each time I repeated my same words back to him. I felt his great approval and love for me. Then he departed. I was deeply shaken by this powerful visitation and afterwards wondered what he meant about gathering his sheep. I mean, I could barely hold onto my own faith and wondered how to manage my new life of faith with a non-believing husband. It’s like joining an army without telling your spouse.
Today I understand what Jesus meant by his words to me 13 years ago. I also discovered a verse that Jesus spoke and documented in Matthew 12:30 which explained the importance of gathering with Jesus. Doing this work will actually keep me safe in his care too.
Matthew 12:30 – “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” – Jesus
I pray that whatever I say and do is gathering you closer to Jesus. If not please forgive me. Please remember that I am learning how to live a good Christian life and doing my best to bring honor to Jesus Christ. It’s a privilege but a very difficult process. Oftentimes I have to rely upon old-time saints to remind myself that Jesus is worth my life, talents and sacrifices. Here is a good quote from a classic pastor-theologian, Charles Spurgeon: “Never did I meet a Christian who, in his old age, said that he had made a mistake in relying upon Christ as his Savior.”
I haven’t had any more visitation from Jesus since then but I have learned so much about Jesus by studying the Bible daily and diligently the last 13 years. This long season of learning and building my foundation on the word of God was very good for me. Because it’s harder to get deceived. Jesus Christ is worthy to be worshipped and to give your full allegiance to. I really hope that you will have at least one visitation experience with Jesus Christ. Because it’ll transform you. Just a heads up that if you do “see” and “hear” Jesus, then you’ll be undone for many hours and maybe days from the testimonies I’ve heard. Sid Roth’s show has guests who have powerful encounters with Jesus. Here’s a recent interview if you want to hear his story: https://sidroth.org/television/tv-archives/chris-garcia/
It was in Sid Roth’s show that I was first introduced to Tomi Arayomi. He is a modern day prophet. I used to steer clear from prophets because they reminded me too much of fortune tellers that my mom was dependent on all her life. (She no longer is. Praise God!) However during the pandemic lockdown as I studied the book of Revelation, a mental stronghold broke down within me and now I see that I was deceived by the enemy. As a prayer intercessor, I need the prophets’ word to help me understand and pray strategically. And the prophets need me to pray for them and their family members and ministry with my prayers for protection and peace. They get attacked very much.
Here is a word for the church that Tomi Arayomi shared for the new year 2021. I share this older one with you since now we have hindsight. Remember in January 2021, we were still in the height of the pandemic and vaccines were starting to come out for the masses. I remember driving an hour to get my first Covid shot at a mega vaccine center in a mall in NJ around April 2021.
If you want to hear what he said for year 2024, you can Google him and find it. I’ve also heard him when Ukraine and Israel were attacked. He gave me a lot of information and clarity so that I can pray and intercede according to the will of God. You can Google and find these messages.
I just received my book on praying for the nations and changing history by Derek Prince. Book starts by sharing this proclamation by the late president Abraham Lincoln. Wow. https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/proclamation-97-appointing-day-national-humiliation-fasting-and-prayer
I also started to listen to this audio teaching series by Derek Prince on how to pray and get what you pray for. https://www.derekprince.com/radio-series/49
Times are increasingly urgent. Please 🙏 and be faithful, available, teachable and always humble. For God gives grace to the humble but opposes the proud. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Peter%205%3A5-6%2CJames%204%3A6-7&version=NKJV
