Hello friends. This week is the Jewish Passover and I want you to understand how this religious feast points to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please watch this short video on the parallel between Jesus and Joseph in the Bible:
The most rejected Savior of Israel – Just like Joseph
Here is a good article about Passover:
“In a fantastically multi-sensory way, the Feast of Passover pictures the salvation and deliverance of the Israel from Egypt, and foreshadows the salvation that the Messiah would work for the whole world one and a half thousand years later. It is a festival of freedom – from slavery, and from sin.”
I’m currently reading through theBible again. It’s my 4th or 5th time reading through the whole Bible in the past 13 years. From all the various Bible reading plans that I have done; I like this one the best. I picked up this Bible at Barnes and Nobles, and it is taking me longer than a year because I am going through it slower. If you have never read through the whole Bible before, please consider purchasing this one. They have one for men too if you want to gift it. https://www.amazon.com/NLT-Year-Bible-Women-Softcover/dp/1496449452/ref=sims_dp_d_dex_ai_speed_loc_mtl_v4_d_sccl_2_8/143-9241332-7118419
I’m currently in the book of Chronicles, right before was the book of Kings; and this time around I’m seeing even more how God uses the prophets and seers to speak to the kings in times of crisis and battles. It’s very exciting to read, especially since I now believe that the gift of prophecy is still relevant for us today. The more you read the Bible, the more you understand what pleases God so you can be on His good side; and He will reveal more winning strategies on waging spiritual wars against our enemy, the devil and demons. As a prayer intercessor, this is very important to learn because having the right guidance from God about a situation saves lives and can affect the entire church, community and even a nation. If you feel the burden to intercede for our nation, please get this book by Derek Prince. I’m currently reading it slowly and thoroughly, and it is excellent. It’s not a very long book. There is tremendous power in our prayers when God’s people pray with faith, unity and revelation that comes from knowing the truths in the Holy Bible. https://www.amazon.com/Shaping-History-Through-Prayer-Fasting/dp/1641231165/ref=sr_1_11
As my biblical knowledge increases more and more because I have put in countless hours on studying the Holy Bible; the main thing that I have to be careful of is pride. I want you to be careful of pride as well as you grow in your biblical knowledge. Satan fell from heaven because of his pride. Here is a short article about that:
How, why, and when did Satan fall from heaven?
In my opinion, pride is one of the most insidious and deadly sin because it can hide so well behind religion and tradition, and even good works. This is why Apostle Paul was given a “thorn in the flesh” to keep him from being inflated with pride due to his great knowledge and supernatural revelations. And humbly, he accepted his “thorn in the flesh” once Jesus told him that it was for his own safety. https://www.gotquestions.org/Paul-thorn-flesh.html
Please know and accept this spiritual principle – “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” The sooner you accept this, the better you will be in your life, health and relationships. Last 13 years I feel like I have been learning the house rules in God’s kingdom so that I don’t violate them too much to my own peril and demise. This principle is a big one. Please pray daily for your humility and exposure of any pride so that you can repent. I don’t want Almighty God to oppose you or keep on disciplining you to get your attention. Whenever I experience something painful, I always ask in prayer if I had violated a spiritual rule to bring this pain to myself. If I did then I repent and do better, or if it is a demonic assault and then I go to one of my trusted prayer friends to stand with me in prayer as I’m fighting the enemy until I have my victory. Sometimes like Apostle Paul it is a “thorn in my flesh” to keep me humble for my safety and becoming prideful. Whatever the case, I always feel that I receive clear guidance and grace from God. Just listen and obey God, and leave the consequences to Him.
What does it mean that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6)?
I am led to share this older sermon series with you on Psalm 23. It is the best and most thorough one that I have done on this beloved and famous Psalm 23. There are nine messages on this series. When you feel anxious and fearful, listen to one of the messages. I heard the first two already and I had forgotten many of the sermon details. It is so good to be reminded about the goodness of God; and re-learn about my responsibilities as his “sheep”, and Jesus’ responsibilities to me as my “Good Shepherd”. It is becoming increasingly vital that we learn to keep our eyes on Jesus, and learn not to pay attention to the storms, valleys, steep cliffs around us. Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith. Keep your eyes and ears attentive to His presence and voice. Follow Him only.

Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it. – Romans 11:12 (NLT)
