In the past 13 years as I was studying the Bible, I also studied the historical context of Bible times. From all my sources used, once I discovered Pastor Gary Hamrick’s free archive of teachings about three years ago, it is now my first go-to resource for research. He has great knowledge about Bible history. I also studied the book of Revelation with him. He has great knowledge about church history as well. By church history, I mean the last 2024 years once the first church was established; after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
It is important to know the basics of Bible and Church history. Another thing that you should know is revival history in the Church. Why? Because it helps you to have faith to pray for another revival for today. I used to give God many suggestions in my petitions to solve today’s problems. Today, I simply cry out for another revival.
Being in prayer ministry since 2016, many requests come to me for healing. I did a lot of learning, listening and praying about this topic of healing and miracles. I thought this devotional was right on about the reasons for the lack of healing and miracles in the churches today. He also mentioned how a few people still receive their healing. From my experiences, I agree with his conclusions. This is why it’s so important to develop your faith by learning the word of God and making relationships in the church community. It’s wise to develop your faith and fellowship during the quiet times of life in order to be ready for life emergencies such as a health crisis for yourself or your loved one.

Our area churches don’t have a revival happening and so if you have a loved one who is in a dire health crisis, then I suggest this church in North Georgia. They’ve been having a revival since 2018 with many signs and wonders happening in their church meetings. Due to very high demands, you have to make an appointment.
In our corporate prayer meeting this past week, I was praying for someone who had lots of anxieties and fears. It was interesting to hear me praying under the anointing of the Holy Spirit that her “fear of God” would increase in order to decrease her general “anxieties and fears”. Looking at my own life in the past 13 years; I realized that my general “anxieties and fears” declined or was replaced by the “fear of God”. Here are some great benefits that come with having this good, healthy “fear of God”.

This prayer for her also reminded me of a dream that I had about my church in the second year of leading the prayer group. Here is my dream:
‘Fear of the Lord’ dream

The Holy Spirit has been telling me to write this dream down before too much time passes by. I have been busy with much ministry work. Just like household chores there appears to be no end to ministry work too. Praise Jesus for he makes me lie down to rest as Psalm 23 says!
This dream came to me about 3 weeks ago. It was a typical Sunday service at my church. I was walking around the church building in between the services. I noticed there were many posters throughout the church hallways and walls all relating to bible verses about the ‘fear of the Lord’. These verses are about the benefits and the wonderful promises of having the ‘fear of the Lord’.
However I noticed that in all the posters the word ‘fear’ was spelled wrong. I was so confused. I’d stop the people in the hallways and asked if they’ve noticed that the word ‘fear’ is spelled wrong everywhere. Every person would look at me warmly and yet strangely and say, “What do you mean? That is how you spell fear.” I’d stop individuals and ask politely to please spell ‘fear’. Every one spelled it wrong! For example, they’d spell it ‘frrer, feear, fearr, farr’, etc. I was so perplexed!!
After unsuccessfully trying to get even one person to agree with me that the posters spelled ‘fear’ wrong; I cried out, “Lord, what is going on here?!” Then Jesus said to me, “I will be teaching your church how to have the right ‘fear of the Lord’. Then I woke up. (FYI – His voice was gentle and loving, like a good King. Not harsh and condescending.)
I also had an “aha” moment that the reason why I don’t see much fruit in many believers is that they do not have the proper ‘fear of the Lord’. Therefore, many live disobedient and undisciplined lives and without self-control year after year.
Lord, thank you for this dream and that you correct and discipline those you love dearly. May it be done as you have said in my dream. Teach our church how to spell ‘fear’ correctly so that we can receive all the blessings and benefits that are bestowed upon those who fear You rightly and honorably. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

When you are a prayer intercessor, sometimes the Holy Spirit gives you a heads up for challenges coming ahead in order to plan, prepare and also lessen the negative impact of the situation coming up with our petitions to Almighty God through the mercy seat of our Lord Jesus Christ. I’ve been receiving impressions and confirming news that there will be more health crisis in our land. Even if I am wrong about this (and hopefully I am), we should all be developing our faith by listening to the word of God in the Bible and developing good relationships in the church community. Of course if there’s a revival in our area then that’s a game changer – then healing and miracles will come easily without much faith or effort. This is another good reason to be praying for a revival in our churches. Not everyone can afford to visit the church in North Georgia and it’ll be impossible for them to handle all the health emergencies in our land.
