When I was commissioned by the Lord to start the women’s prayer group in 2016, I had little idea what I was supposed to do and what corporate prayer was all about. I also know why God didn’t allow me to have a co-leader despite my asking for the first two years. He knew that I would try to push the leadership responsibilities to my co-leader. He also knew that I wouldn’t take this work seriously during stressful times since it was a volunteer position after-all, from an earthly point of view. And I was still seeing many things from an earthly point of view and was very immature in my faith.
In those first two years of leading the prayer group on my own, I learned A LOT about corporate prayer and why Satan and his demons hate corporate prayers so much. In a sense if I wasn’t attacked so frequently by the enemy, then I wouldn’t have researched why corporate prayer is such a big deal to them. I’m thankful for my ignorance about spiritual warfare when I said yes to God and also thankful that I had many battles with the enemy to make me understand the power of corporate prayers. This is why I am so disciplined about organizing corporate prayer meetings. It shakes the heavenly realm.
You might wonder why provoke the enemy (aka demons) against you? Life is hard enough! For some of you who are altruistic by nature, you will press on and sacrifice yourself for the behalf of others. Well, I’m by nature too selfish and self-preserving. I needed a different “carrot” or reward. What is my “carrot” 🥕 or reward? It is my children. The Holy Spirit told me that whatever that I learn about prayer and intercession, that it’ll make a huge difference in preserving and protecting my children. And it has, it does, and it will.
I led a moms-in-prayer group for a few years along with the women’s prayer group within my church. Moms in prayer ministry will teach you how to pray and to be disciplined in your prayers. They are celebrating 40 years of their ministry! Please visit their website and join a local group to pray with other moms and grandmothers for your children and their schools. They are also having a conference in October in North Carolina if you’re interested.

As I see the many, many challenges that our youth face today (so much more than my Gen X faced) there has to be more passionate and persistent prayers offered for the youth. Please parents, grandparents and caregivers – let us repent before the Lord and pray 🙏 for God’s mercy and forgiveness and favor.
Please read the comments below this song. The testimonies in there are incredible! 😲🎊❤️🙏
Song is based from Psalm 34:

“As the students go, so goes our nation! If we win the spiritual battles across our nation but neglect our college campuses, all our progress will be undone in a generation. Therefore, students today need our support and earnest prayers… Without a greater degree of genuine, unified prayer, our hopes and dreams for this generation may never be realized.” – Francis Chan
“The wonderful thing about praying is that you leave a world of not being able to do something, and enter God’s realm where everything is possible. He specializes in the impossible. Nothing is too great for His Almighty power, nothing is too small for His love.” – Corrie Ten Boom.
