Hello friends. Halloween is coming up. I’ve seeing many Halloween influences already in September. In this holiday of death and occultism, we must gear up daily in our spiritual armor and pray in the spirit too. I pray with my gift of tongues when I sense danger. I call my supernatural prayer language – my “spider sense” (like in the Spider man movies where Peter’s senses start tingling when danger is near and imminent.) I don’t usually pray much in my supernatural prayer language until October comes. But this year, I’m already sensing more dangers in September by how much I am praying with my supernatural prayer language. Let us make more time for prayer, even if we sleep less. During battle times, soldiers sleep less. It is what it is.
Yesterday morning I was woken up at 3am to pray for my son, Evan. After my prayers for him, I was listening to God for other things that I should pray about. I believe this is an important warning – until Halloween is over, we need to be praying much more for the men in our lives (family, friends, church, community, nation) in all areas like health, safety, temptations, depression, death, anxiety, relationships, finances, work, etc.
Please pray frequently for their protection and safety. If you are woken up early to pray, please do not get side-tracked by watching TV or doing something else.
Below are some good prayer guidelines that you can use. (Save them in your phone to use frequently.) Speak only life and the word of God over those that you are praying for. Remember that your words have the power of life and death so be very careful with your words especially in the coming weeks until Halloween is over. If necessary, limit your time with people who encourage too much talking. If you cannot, pray beforehand for God’s help to guard your mouth. Repent immediately if you sinned with your speech. Repentance negates the harm and lessens the pain of your mistake. Ask the Holy Spirit if you need to do anything more, maybe apologize to the person. Again, pray beforehand for God’s help to guard your mouth. See it as an opportunity to learn to be a better listener than a talker.
19 Understand this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Let everyone be quick to hear [be a careful, thoughtful listener], slow to speak [a speaker of carefully chosen words and], slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving]; 20 for the [resentful, deep-seated] anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God [that standard of behavior which He requires from us]. – James 1:19-20 (AMP)
A prudent man sees evil and hides himself and avoids it, But the naive [who are easily misled] continue on and are punished [by suffering the consequences of sin]. – Proverbs 27:12 (AMP)

I believe that I’ll be communicating with you more during the coming weeks due to the intensity of this Halloween season.

Subject: October: Pray Without Ceasing
Hello ladies! I hope you are doing well. In the month of October, I ask you to pray without ceasing for all your church pastors and Christian leaders that you follow online and in-person. Ever since I became a prayer group leader in 2016, I started to not like October month. I’m not the most astute or sensitive in spiritual matters but I find the month of October leading up to Halloween very unnerving and demonic. I encounter many unusual difficulties in both circumstances and relationships. Now I expect this in October and so, I enter this month with my eyes wide open and I stay even closer to God, the Bible and my church community until this month passes by. When November 1 arrives, I breathe a nice long sigh of relief.
During Covid October of 2020 and 2021, this month went quietly and uneventfully. I loved it! However, in this October 2022, I am starting to hear and see a lot of unnerving things happening in our area and the country as pre-Covid times, perhaps even more. There are many forces of evil unleashed with greater intensity in this month towards Christian leadership. I see that some Christian leaders have already fallen into the traps and temptations of the enemy and now there’s a great void in that area that they used to cover. Their protection and influence is gone for the people and communities they used to cover. Please pray without ceasing that God will have mercy and fill the void of their leadership with another good, godly leaders. However, it’ll probably take a while so please keep praying with much persistence and perseverance. Do not drop the baton of prayer!
If you are wondering why I still do what I do when it sounds like I invite more attention by the enemy, that is a very good question. By nature, I’m not very courageous nor self-sacrificing for the greater good but God already knew this about me and so has given me a good “carrot” to keep my eyes on my prize. When my Evan was five years old, we drove into NYC for a family friend’s daughter’s Jewish baby naming ceremony and party. (Howard and Alex had a soccer tournament and so they didn’t come.) Inside the Lincoln Tunnel where you lose radio reception, I was driving in silence when suddenly and loudly, I heard the Holy Spirit declare, “Evan will be an evangelist!” 😳 I’m sure this was my face.
I have read and heard from enough evangelists now, and in my opinion it is one of the most dangerous jobs in the kingdom of God because they go out to dangerous, hostile and unreached places on the earth with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Who knows, perhaps what I heard was my imagination and my son will have a nice safe job and always live near by me. 🙂
Well, I’m not taking any chances with what I heard over ten years ago. If Evan becomes an evangelist then he’ll need a strong and experienced prayer mama lifting him up in prayers from day one in his kingdom job. Evan will be 16 next month. He still has no interest in God and my faith in Jesus Christ. He tunes me out on many things. From my observations, I noticed that the direct seeds of Abraham (the father of the Jewish and Muslim people through his sons, Isaac and Ishmael) generally need to have supernatural encounters with Jesus Christ to become believers. But once they believe and receive Him, they become hardcore disciples and followers, and also fearless evangelists.
Going back to praying without ceasing in the month of October for your church pastors, Christian leaders and for one another – we still have half of the month left and things will get more intense leading up to Halloween for October 2022. Please pray everyday for all the Christian leaders that you follow in-person and virtually. They have a big target 🎯.
This week at my daughter’s business school in college, we heard news about a well-loved and influential Christian business professor who committed suicide in a parking garage that is well known for students to jump off from. There must be a horrible and evil spiritual principality roaming in this parking lot near the business school. Our prayers will break and loosen this evil stronghold over this parking garage. Please pray for Indiana University’s parking garages. Pray for everyone affected by his suicide too. Thank you so much for your prayers.
As believers, we need to speak openly about these tragic losses, so no one feels that they are immune to such traps and temptations. This highly educated, accomplished, Christian professor had a moment of great weakness or hopelessness, and he killed himself. He is in heaven but look at the great loss and damage he left behind his family, church and university. He was very popular and had a very big reach to many students. Do you have godly, mature Christian friends to call for prayers in desperate moments? You must and if you do not, please build up your foundation with these important friendships in the body of Christ, the church community.
Please pray extra for me and my family in this month of October. Thank you so much for covering me and my family extra in this month of October 2022. I’ll do likewise for you too.
Ephesians 6:10-20 (NIV)
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
