Over the last 13-14 years I’ve been studying the Bible immensely. I get into discussions with church friends about Bible theology and doctrines. Sometimes our conversations can get a little heated as we are defending our position. However, we never allow ourselves to severe our friendship. Always remember this –  “We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” (1 Corinthians 8:1 (NKJV)).

Hello friends. I’m reminded about this vision that I had during our corporate prayer time over a year ago. 

The climate in our country and communities has been so divisive because of the upcoming election and their many ads. It’s almost impossible to not get offended. Please keep a close eye on your heart and if it feels bitter or cynical, please ask for prayers from your pastors or church friends. God will answer that prayer since it’s His desire and will for us to live together in love and unity. I also advise you to not speak or communicate much until you feel less bitter and cynical in your heart. I just don’t want you to make mistakes with your words and cause a big problem in your life and relationships.

The result on the church and their members was far reaching and tragic.  As pastor and church leaders, it is very important to realize that you set an example for the rest of the congregation.  Thank you for realizing this and serving the Lord with holy reverence.

Hello friends. I just learned that there’s a big women’s prayer event happening this Saturday, 10/12 in Washington DC! 

Their prayer event is calling the Esthers of today to “pray and fast” to save our children and our nation. You can register and join virtually too. Please register and let us pray with repentance and brokenness…for we know how merciful God was to Nineveh when Jonah preached upcoming judgement, and the people of Nineveh cried out to the Lord for mercy. Just like Nineveh, I know that we still have an opportunity for mercy.

Last week I was thinking a lot about this book that I read about a 4 year old boy who visited heaven. They made a movie about it too. I highly recommend everyone to read the book. It was an easy read and there are many spiritual details in the book that the movie didn’t cover – such as what our prayers looked like in heaven and how our prayers impact the earth; he was also given a glimpse of what will be happening on earth in the last days and the role that Christians played; but what really boggled my mind when I read the book was that he saw Satan in heaven.

Hollywood entertainment has made witchcraft very sexy, fun and adventurous. But the reality is very far from it. It reminds me of how the entertainment industry portrays casual sex as fun and exciting but they don’t tell you how awful it is to get a STD, an abortion or about sexual violence on the rise for children and vulnerable people.
