Hello friends. If you are wondering why I keep on focusing on revival, please watch this hour-long documentary about Keith Green. He was the poster child of a hippie culture in California of the 1960/70s.
As I’ve been praying about a second suicide of a young person this fall (ages 12 and 18) and the many other requests that come in for mental illnesses and all kinds of addictions; I hope you understand why I always ask for a revival with great anguish in our corporate prayer meetings. Our youth and the conditions of our nation are beyond the help of human efforts. If you think that you and your children/grandchildren are safe because you have money for therapists, check off your list of religious to-dos, and serve/volunteer a lot; that is not what I’ve witnessed.
I’m currently reading the book “Harvest” by Chuck Smith. His tiny church in California was the vessel the Holy Spirit used to carry the gospel out to the hippie masses. It’s interesting to note that the hippies called us, the older Christians the “straight society”. We, the “straight society” must let go of our pride and religious standards to host revival.
Here is a brief summary of Chuck Smith.

Here is the book that I’m reading.
“We should always choose our books as God chooses our friends, just a bit beyond us, so that we have to do our level best to keep up with them.” – from Shade of His Hand by Oswald Chambers
A friend cautioned me that Chuck Smith predicted the world was going to end in 1981. I found this article by someone who was there when Chuck Smith preached the sermon on this topic. This person is a primary source. Please be careful with sources like Wikipedia. Ever since I’ve discovered how biased the people who write in Wikipedia are against Israel, I stopped using Wikipedia. Not surprisingly, the people who contribute in there are also against Christians. Whenever I am researching, now I try to use Christian sources since I am a Christian.
This same writer wrote about being a young “Jesus Freak” in that period. It was a good, heartfelt read. I would’ve loved to be there young and a “Jesus Freak”.

I’ve never experienced a revival. After doing a lot of research and reading about revivals; it’s my opinion that revival is the only way to save our youth and our country.
Please listen to this podcast when you can. My main takeaway is that deliverance without discipleship is dangerous for the individual. In revival atmosphere, there are many deliverances. It’s imperative that these delivered individuals receive discipleship, or else they will get worse.

Jesus talks about this in Matthew 12:43-45.
43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
Keith Green songs and lyrics are all excellent. Hear them when you can. I really love this song and lyrics:

Subject: Keith Green and Billy Graham and the Millenials
Good morning ladies! I just finally finished Keith Green’s biography, “No Compromise.” It was exciting and excellent. If anyone wants to borrow my book, please email me.
Attached below is few pages reflecting on Keith Green by couple of his mentors. It’s deep and short. Please take a look. (FYI – Keith Green died in a plane crash at age 28 with his two kids in it. The book was written later by his wife Melody. It is amazing to see the goodness and faithfulness of God to her and her other two daughters after this horrific tragedy.)
Billy Graham’s autobiography, “Just as I am” is also really excellent. Please email me if you want to borrow the book. This link is a small exert from Billy Graham’s book when he questioned the validity of the Bible at age 30.

Short insights about the millennials from another Christian millennial:
This song by Keith Green touches me every time. Because I have fallen away from Jesus two separate times in my life. I get very nervous about drifting. I think it’s a good concern to have in my opinion. Enjoy this song!
I don’t want to fall away from you
