Hello friends. I told you about the Novo prayer ministry that I participated in last fall semester. My church friend who also did Novo last fall told me about Novo’s podcast. I heard one of their podcast on “hearing from God”. I had forgotten about this exercise that they taught us. And so I did it one morning in my quiet time. I asked God, “Is there anything that you’d like to say to me?” Then I received two powerful visions.
Here’s my first vision – I was completely armored up like a medieval knight soldier and except I didn’t have a face shield. I saw myself advancing into the enemy’s territory and attacking the darkness, and being offensive with my weapons of sword and arrows. I didn’t see a physical shield but I saw a light emulating around me that was protecting me completely against any attacks and weapons hurled at me by the enemy. There were also many others like me fighting beside me and also many more behind me. I was surprised to see that my face was determined and fierce, without fear. I looked so cool doing all kinds of acrobatic and athletic movements as I was advancing into the enemy’s territory.
(For those who know me, I am the least athletic person. But in the spiritual world, I was able and physically skilled and strong! It is amazing that’s how God saw me – a brave and strong woman warrior.)
Here’s my second vision – I saw my daughter who goes into NYC for work, had angels following her – three angels to be exact. I heard in my spirit that as the President of the United States has secret service agents following and protecting his family members, that I also have secret service angels following and protecting my family members as I work for God’s kingdom. Just like in real life, the secret service agents reveal themselves suddenly when there’s danger to their assigned individual.
(I highly recommend the book by Billy Graham on angels. He referenced God’s angels as secret service agents.)

I’m sharing these visions with you so that if you’re serving and working for God, then your close family members have assigned angels to protect them. Even if they live in disobedience and unbelief, they still have assigned angels because of your obedience and service. Keep your eyes forward and advance God’s plans into the enemy’s territory.
(As our country and the world become increasingly dangerous and violent; it’s my opinion that the best thing to do for your family members is to fully embrace your assignment and calling in Jesus Christ so that they can receive the protection that comes with your obedience and allegiance to King Jesus.)
If anyone is interested, this is the Novo podcast episode that I heard on “hearing from God”.

Their Novo website has many great stories. Here’s a young lady’s story from Saint Petersburg, Russia. 🇷🇺 It is so nice to hear an uplifting story from Russia.

However you think about the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit; it is my opinion that it is necessary in the battlefield and for victory. Despite the many abuses and scandals by those in the prophetic ministry, I have decided to keep learning and practice the prophetic gift. I think Novo is an excellent ministry in learning and practicing the prophetic gift in a safe space.
My heart’s intention to develop the prophetic gift is to draw nonbelievers to believe; and to encourage fellow believers to keep on moving forward in their faith, and to rescue any stuck in their despair, fear, grief or sin. If you also want to develop the gift of the prophetic, please consider your heart’s intention. Even write the mission statement down and review it regularly so that you will not veer off like some believers did when they became very popular and profitable.
Please listen to Pastor Jim of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church of his encounter with a prophetic woman who used manipulation and fear to coerce him to give support for her ministry. He was too wise to be coerced by her. I want you to learn how he handled a strong woman like her who was working under a wrong spirit under the guise of prophecy. She is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and will capture any stray sheep who are naive, gullible, lonesome and spiritually starving. As I read about the prophetic people who have been exposed for their lies, sins and corruption; I saw a common theme of using their supernatural gift to promote themselves and to manipulate others. I don’t know if they started out that way but somehow they veered off terribly wrong.
Here’s the sermon title and description:
A Warning Sign
“If you’re on the brink of making a big decision, don’t miss this warning—listen for God’s guidance and talk it through with trustworthy advisors! The Bible is full of examples of godly people taking bad advice and making poor decisions. We must humble ourselves and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Without it, we’ll self-destruct!”
The safest and surest way to “hear from God” is to read and study the Bible. I rarely miss a day without reading or listening to the Bible. That’s probably why I had forgotten about Novo’s exercise in “hearing from God”. I feel like God speaks to me constantly as I’m listening/reading to the Bible, good sermons and books. If God also gave you the freedom of leisure and time, what would you do with that time? For me, I have used my time to learn and research. In the past 15 years, I’ve learned about Bible history, church history, Israel history, Bible prophecy, American history, world religions, theological debates and differences in the church, etc. In addition, I learn the psychology of emotional intelligence, leadership skills, how to manage my own emotions and self-control, communication in conflict situations etc., etc. Sometimes God puts me in real life roles to practice these skills. Since I don’t have to work for pay, I volunteer. I only take on the roles that the Holy Spirit wants me to do. I see that I am a conduit of God’s blessings to people and places that I am serving at.
Currently, I am learning conversational Korean, and studying Korean history and their issues today. I came to the USA when I was 8 years old and so I never learned Korean history other than the little bit my high school covered in history class about the Korean War.
Recently, after watching a children’s animated show about a missionary to Korea, I realized that God will not allow the Kim regime to continue on and close off access to the people. The capital of North Korea, PyongYang was where the gospel seeds were planted and the churches were flourishing before the Korean War. Billy Graham wrote that the capital of North Korea was once called the “Jerusalem of the Orient”. Perhaps I will be involved when God opens up that country. Is that why the Holy Spirit is nudging me to work on my Korean vocabulary and conversational skills?
Here is the children’s animated show about the Wales missionary, Robert Thomas.

Here’s a short article summarizing his story.
I like to learn history by reading or listening to an individual who went through that time period. It makes it more interesting and helps me to memorize key events. I just finished a four-part oral history series by a chemistry professor, Hyuk Yu of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is 93 years old today. He went through the Japanese occupation of Korea to liberation after WW2 to becoming a refugee when the communist army invaded his homeland in the north. When the war paused and Korea was divided into the north and south; he got sponsored by a good USA military officer to come to the USA for higher education. He first went to University of Berkeley. Back in the 1950s, one semester cost $600. Wow! Then he went to Princeton University and even graduated from Seoul University (the most prestigious university in South Korea). He has an impressive career in both teaching and in business if you want to look him up on LinkedIn. I marveled how young and strong his voice was in the podcast. He has a fun personality and a great storyteller. Here’s the first episode. This podcast was produced by the University’s East Asian studies department.

John Bevere wrote a very good article in Biblegateway. Please read his thoughts about Jesus’ Second Coming. He also wrote about the importance of having a biblical “fear of God”. Please read to understand why, and what this good healthy fear can offer you.
I’ve been listening again to Billy Graham’s classic sermons. They are still so relevant to us today. Please check some out.

May our Lord Jesus Christ richly bless us and our families with his peace and protection as we mature in our faith and serve Him sincerely and wholeheartedly.
