About Energizer Bunny

Hello. Welcome to my blog. I hope you find my sharing helpful and inspiring. It’s about my journey of faith initiated by God. My heart is now heaven bound and I hope that you will find encouragement and guidance in my stories and resources shared. God bless you abundantly and always.

Same sex marriage.

In America, same-sex marriage became legal across the states. I’ve kept my thoughts quiet on this matter because I was torn between the views of two opposing sides. I’ve been part of the world for a long time and now being part of the Christian community, I completely understand both sides of arguments. I prayed and asked the Lord to grant me His understanding and wisdom on this matter.  Continue reading Same sex marriage.

The Year in Review.

In NYC Times Square people can write down their 2015 events on a piece of paper that they’d like to shred into confetti for the New Year ball drop. It’s called a ‘Good Riddance’ sheet. As you can imagine these participants are glad to be done with 2015 and are hoping the new year brings happier times. Watching this report on the news made me smile and prompted me to review my year.  Continue reading The Year in Review.

Doubt Less.

I’m almost finished reading Rick Warren’s famous book, “The Purpose Driven Life: What on earth am I here for?”. In chapter 39, he gives you a guideline on how to stay in faith and diligently keep growing. One suggestion is to keep a personal journal to chronicle what God is teaching you and doing in your life so that you will not forget, and to have a place to look back at his faithfulness and goodness. Mary’s dilemma.

My pastor’s sermon focusing on Joseph’s story made me think of Mary’s story depicted in the movie, ‘The Nativity Story’. My pastor speculated how crushed and betrayed Joseph must’ve felt when he found Mary pregnant. Back then being engaged means you are practically married and both families have approved the union. It’s was a serious commitment. In the movie, you can see Joseph’s anguish. You also see how much Mary risked by agreeing to do God’s will. Think about it – she agreed to get pregnant when she was already betrothed to someone else whom she loved and respected. She risked not only her life but her security, reputation and future. She gave all that she had to do the Lord’s will. Wow. She was only a teenager too.  Continue reading Mary’s dilemma.

Same Power.

Last week in my bible study group I distributed copies of healing bible verses. I gathered them online for a friend battling cancer about a year ago. I’ve felt prompted to share because we are praying for many who have serious illness or physical ailments. As I was reading through the healing bible verses and reflecting on divine healing in the book of Acts that we are studying together, I was convicted of my unbelief. Continue reading Same Power.

Healing wounded soldiers.

“And blessed is he who is not offended because of me.” – Matthew 11:6 (NKJV)

Jesus says this in response to John the Baptist’s inquiry whether or not he is the Messiah. I’ve been contemplating a lot on why Jesus would say this rather than tell John ‘yes or no’. I don’t know how John received Jesus’ reply but I think I can draw a parallel with my own personal experiences.  Continue reading Healing wounded soldiers.
