Hello! As the New Year 2023 approaches very soon, I thought these resources were helpful to reflect on the past year 2022, and move to the new year 2023 with us walking closer to Jesus Christ. I don’t know about you but I need Jesus more and more every year!
I’ve had this bizarre dream before. I had it again yesterday but probably a lot more vividly and much more remembered than before. Here is what I saw as best as possibly written in words.
This is an update on Alex that I shared with some friends and ministry leaders who I asked prayers from. Ever since I have been leading prayer meetings, it has been a pet peeve of mine to not get updates from people who asked for prayers. I know life gets busy and sometimes the answers are not always quick to receive but I think it’s important to keep others informed with positive news along the way since they are also contending for their own faith and waiting on their petitions too.
Reading this devotional made me remember this good photo that I saved while back. I also learned a new fact about lions from their devotional: “One of the notable characteristics of the lion that makes it different from most other large cats is that the lion does not live a solitary life. It stays with its pride, its family, to protect it from attack.” https://www.ifcj.org/learn/holy-land-moments/daily-devotionals/never-retreat-in-fear
Hello! Here is the next MIP prayer sheet for Wednesday, 11/23 at 1pm. Theme is God is the Miracle Worker. Please pray on your own if you cannot join the prayer meeting and meditate on their scriptures too. I understand that we have not seen any or very few miracles but that does not mean we should stop believing or meditating on the works of God recorded in the Bible or listening to testimonies of others who have experienced or witnessed miracles. Remember that faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. I also found a few paintings of God’s miracles in the Bible to help us have visuals of these events. I’ve attached them below. https://momsinprayer.org/resources/prayer-tools/prayer-sheets/miracle-worker-mobile-prayer-sheet/
Couple of nights ago I received bad report about Alex. The next morning when I woke up thinking about her, the Lord gave me this bible verse to look up.Continue reading King Asa + Psalm 112→
I recently shared this message with my prayer group ladies. Unlike a bible study group which I also lead and facilitate at my church, I find leading and facilitating prayer groups to be A LOT more challenging. I wrestled about the reasons why. I think Corrie ten Boom summarized it well from the devil’s perspective.
Great picture of planting a seed in all places, even a rock. Don’t just pass by, gently drop the seeds at the rock too.
I love reading and listening to testimonies of God’s love and faithfulness especially by older people in the faith. I heard that my grandmother in my mom’s side was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Since we live in the USA, we didn’t get to know her well. My mom would share stories with me that her mom would attend her local church’s early morning prayers later in her life. Perhaps my ease of waking up early to do my quiet time comes from my grandmother.
If like me, you also did not observe closely someone who lived life for Jesus Christ, then you must seek out stories shared by other elderly believers. It is so powerful to hear about God’s goodness and faithfulness over a lifetime by a mature follower of Jesus Christ. Their stories are so faith-building and give us guidance on how we should live and follow in their footsteps if we desire their ending.
