Praying Parents Make A Difference.

My daughter, Alex is back home for thanksgiving break after three months in college. We were very nervous about her visit since when she left only three months ago, her mental state was very alarming and scary to witness. Days leading up to her coming home both Howard and I were tense and edgy. My son, Evan was dreading her visit too.

Encountering Christ by LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ ⚧

I continue to hear more and more young people in our area, who are transitioning and have transitioned to the opposite gender from their birth. I already know three families whose teenagers are transitioning and taking hormone therapy. One family is from a Christian background with a grandfather who is a pastor. Therefore, it’s a matter of time before someone comes to me with these questions in my ministry work.

“Feasting in the church” dream + Thorn in the flesh

I don’t remember my dreams often but when I wake up remembering my dream vividly, I like to write it down and process it. I’m quite certain this dream is from the Lord since the Bible verse of the day by Biblegateway.com is exactly about this situation.

1 John 2:15-16 (VOICE) – Don’t fall in love with this corrupt world or worship the things it can offer. Those who love its corrupt ways don’t have the Father’s love living within them. All the things the world can offer to you—the allure of pleasure, the passion to have things, and the pompous sense of superiority—do not come from the Father. These are the rotten fruits of this world.

Christian Cults

I shared this information with my prayer Google group ladies and I believe it was a warning for someone in the group. Last time I checked there are 128 people receiving my emails. 😳 Some I don’t remember who they are and how we met. After I shared this message, couple of ladies replied back to me. One woman’s cousin died in the Christian cult with cancer and sadly she excommunicated herself from family members. Another shared that her daughter’s friend is involved with a cult-like church and now they are praying together if they should get involved to help this young lady. It’s important to get warned about Christian cults because after my research I see that it can happen to anyone with zeal for God but is biblically illiterate.

Cancel Culture and LGBTQ+

I have been subscribing to Christian-based Axis’s newsletters for few years now. They recently offered their information to parents on how to talk to your teenagers about Cancel Culture and LGBTQ+. Both reports are free and the links are below. It’s very clear that the staff have listened well, done their research and searched the scriptures to suggest their advice for parents and the church. I live with a non-believing husband and teenagers. I believe their assessment and advice are sound and helpful, especially if I am trying to win them over to Jesus Christ. Too many believers severe their relationships over these issues. What benefit is there in severing our bridges? Aren’t we ambassadors for Jesus? Sometimes we are placed in hostile territories or relationships because we are the only light in these areas. Stay in there as a good, wise ambassador until God releases you from the post.
