Yesterday I had this dream where the enemy was throwing rocks at me. From the way he was throwing he only cared about hitting my head. He was very intent on aiming my head. As I successfully ducked many attempts, after a while one rock finally hit me on my head. Then just like the cartoons, I was stunned and blacked out seeing stars around me. This is when I woke up and heard immediately within me – “helmet of salvation”. Continue reading Helmet of Salvation and Poison Dreams

Love Will Find A Way
I remember this powerful experience at Target so vividly. It was about six years ago. I believe Jesus was just starting to implement his action plans to woo me back into his arms. After all, Jesus is an Extraordinary Strategist. I was minding my own business shopping for household items. Then I looked up and saw far away in the clothing section, a bright neon orange shirt hanged up high with these words on it, “Love Will Find A Way.” OMG – suddenly I was doused with great floods of great love. Right in the middle of Target I couldn’t contain myself but started bawling uncontrollably. Continue reading Love Will Find A Way
Fasting and Praying
As a teen I went through a period of having an eating disorder. I didn’t know at the time that there was a name for it – anorexia. It came on suddenly and then I was hooked. I remember it was very rewarding to not eat, gave me a sense of great accomplishment and made me feel worthy. Going on the scale as my pounds dropped rewarded my sacrifice. I’m 5’4″ and when I finally went down to 99 I was so happy, excited and proud. It’s a sick disorder. Continue reading Fasting and Praying
Perplexed, but not in despair.
2 Corinthians 4:8 (NIV)
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair
I’ve been in my kids’ school PTO board going into my fourth year. I’m currently the president. Beginning this school year I learned that one former board member’s brother-in-law was close to dying from a brain tumor. He just entered into a coma when I found out. Sweet Dreams
The bible documents many stories where God communicates through dreams. The famous ones that I can think of now are Daniel and Joseph. Well, recently this happened to me! I’m blessed to sleep well and I rarely remember any dreams. If I do remember I dismiss them as nonsense and I don’t give them any thought. This changed when I saw an interview from Sid Roth’s show. This message came to me at a great time. It may even change the destiny of a young lady! I pray that it does. Continue reading Sweet Dreams
Mega Truck Dream
Four or five years ago I remember stopping at a red light. Then this huge mega-truck pulls up next to me. My Honda Accord felt so puny standing next to this mega truck. Once the light turned green, I sped off and looked back on my rear view mirror. I saw that the mega-truck barely accelerated forward. It must’ve been heavily loaded. I smiled to myself, “hee-hee”. Suddenly at that moment, the Holy Spirit said to me, “A small church will get to the accident site first but their resources are limited. A big church will take longer to get there but when they get there, they have A LOT more to offer.” Continue reading Mega Truck Dream
Courageous
I just finished a book that had a very interesting concept. It’s basically a New Years resolution but it’s only in one word. Therefore it makes you search within and deep to come up with your one word for the year. In the process, your word will be something you ‘need’ in yourself rather than what you ‘want’. The book is called, “One word that will change your life.” by Jon Gordon, Dan Britton and Jimmy Page. It’s a very short concise book – love that! I’ll have to work on my writing being concise yet effective and powerful. Continue reading Courageous
We are sheep.
Summertime is usually a dry period for me because of the lack of small group fellowship. Though I enjoy the less hectic pace and activities, I know that I need to be careful. I become even more convinced after every summer how much regular fellowship with believers is vital and absolutely necessary. After all, Jesus is our Shepherd and he calls us sheep. We are sheep! We are meant to be herded together for our protection and well-being. Continue reading We are sheep.
My seeds
Summertime is usually a dry period for me because of the lack of regular fellowship. Small groups take a break, and long vacations create a longer break from attending church. Though I make time to read God’s word and pray in the morning, regular companionship of believers is very important to enjoying fullness of life and journeying with hope and faith. I can’t understand how lone Christians live life isolated from other believers. I’m sure the victory and joy are missing substantially. Continue reading My seeds
Things to do while waiting.
It’s been five years since I’ve recommitted my life back to Christ. One of the very first thing I’ve asked was that my entire family would know Jesus as Lord and Savior. I thought it’ll happen soon enough. Haha. I didn’t know that I’ll still be waiting. I’ve had my share of frustrations and questions, and trying to understand why it’s taking so long. Now I’m at a place of waiting with quiet contentment. It’s really the smart thing to do. Continue reading Things to do while waiting.
