There has been two kidnapping attempts in the last two weeks in our area. Because we live in safe and affluent neighborhoods this has been very shocking. After praying much about it, I felt that I needed to share with my prayer group ladies, my church community and parent friends. I hope these resources make you more aware too.

Hello ladies. I have been praying whether to share this with you but since there are no second chances with these things, it felt very wrong not to warn you especially if you live in this area. Last week, a 10 year old girl was approached by a man in a black Mercedes car. He was trying to get her into the car. She fortunately had very good instincts and ran away immediately. This week a 13 year old boy with autism was approached by a black car. Thank goodness he also ran away. Both incidents have been reported to the police. Since they were not kidnapped, public wasn’t notified by the police but through mom’s network of sharing I have learned about these incidents. Both children, their families and neighbors are very shaken up by this incident. Please pray for their recovery from fear and trauma.

This is a horrific topic but because there are no second chances with these things I think it’s very important to address it. I don’t remember where I read this but only 1% of children are rescued if taken by strangers.

I’ve been paying attention to child trafficking world news for 12 years. It was too, too hard to get involved when my children were younger aside from just donating and praying. Now I am starting to feel that I am to get more involved with activism. Please pray for me regarding this. Thank you.

My Bible study group is finishing up the book of Hebrews. Chapter 13 talks about angels, and pastor Gary Hamrick teaches about angels and demons in this message. Ever since I read Billy Graham’s book on Angels, I pray often for extra angels to be assigned to my family members, any activities that I am working on or places going to. This message is consistent with what I read from Billy Graham’s book.
