When the student is ready, the teacher shows up.

Joel Osteen’s ministry kept coming up in my discussions with prayer friends and bible study group recently. I used to listen to his messages a lot in the first two years of my return back. Looking back his softer sermons were what I needed for they were easy to digest. After all, I haven’t eaten any spiritual food for a very long time. His ministry reminds me of “milk and not solid foods” that Apostle Paul talked about. I stopped listening to Joel Osteen because his teachings were no longer providing me with endurance for daily tough times and so I found teachers at Times Square Church, One For Israel, Derek Prince, Dr Charles Stanley, Francis Chan, Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Billy Graham, Dr Tony Evans, Gary Hamrick, Amir Tsarfati, RT Kendall, John MacArthur, Greg Laurie, Sid Roth’s guests, David Hernandez and classic preachers such as Charles Spurgeon, AW Tozer, Oswald Chambers, etc.

“Have courage! What’s the worst thing that can happen?”

I heard my gym instructor say this motivational phrase last week and it has stuck with me. Like all my gym class instructors, she says cute, positive things to motivate us. This past academic year, the word of the year given to me by the Lord is “victory” and with this verse – Then he said, “This is God’s message to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty—you will succeed because of my Spirit, though you are few and weak.” – Zechariah 4:6 (TLB)

The Best Thing We Can Do For God.

My TSC (Times Square Church) connect group leader shared this message with us this week and I’d like to pass it to you too. It was excellent and timely, especially with so many divisive issues and incredible amounts of stress that is being poured out into our relationships, culture and society these days. It is the message on 5/15 called “The Best Thing We Can Do For God.” It is delivered by the lead pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle church.

God Guards

Hello this is another message that I shared recently with my prayer ladies. Please pray on your own this week for your children and grandchildren using the MIP theme “God guards”. The prayer sheet link is attached below. Another way that God guards us is by giving us warnings as we study the Bible and alerts us to what is happening in our society. I was so surprised to learn from a recent NJ news article that sexually transmitted diseases went up in 2020 in our state! I thought at the height of the Covid pandemic, people would have abstained from casual sex. It also reported that 15-24 age group’s STD rates were higher than 2019 numbers.

Ukraine War: Day 52 + Testimony + Jesus and Passover + Jesus’ hours on the cross

1. As I was thinking about all the great injustice and wars that are happening simultaneously throughout the world; I wondered how long the war in Ukraine will continue. It is really, truly remarkable that they have held up for so long against a great military giant like Russia. I believe it’s because there are many people in and from Ukraine who are believers of Jesus Christ and they are praying and fasting nonstop. Today is day 52 of their war. If you have a burden to pray for Ukraine, please visit these resources:

Intercession without Intermission

I generally don’t know what to do with prophetic words. I occasionally hear some famous ones and ponder their words. A well-known prophet said that this decade will be a decade of “intercession without intermission”. Since March 2020 when the pandemic lockdown started in our country, my community and prayer groups have been meeting and praying together nonstop. I haven’t even taken a break during my summers. I doubt I will take a break this summer too. Please look for and be rooted in a community group in a Bible-based and Jesus-seeking church body. Give and serve the church body where the Holy Spirit has you planted in. As you give and serve, Jesus Christ will provide and protect you and your family members too; even if they don’t want Jesus. Look at me – I give, serve and seek alone. It is not easy; it is actually very, very difficult. I’ve survived this long by filling my mind with God’s word, looking forward to heaven, and keeping an eternal perspective.

Biblical Theology with Dr. RT Kendall

As I continue to see more and more that our culture is becoming like the “days of Noah”, I realize how critical it is to know our Bible. There are too many well-meaning Christians who are biblically illiterate. They are all very smart people with higher education too. I pray and hope that the Holy Spirit will keep on using me to sound the alarm in our affluent communities. I recently shared these resources with my prayer group ladies for self-studying. I hope these help you too.
