Hello friends. As a prayer intercessor for over ten years, I noticed that the month of October leading up to Halloween is the most intense month of spiritual battles for me. Have you noticed that too? Perhaps not, because I only noticed it once I became a prayer group leader, not when I was leading Bible study groups.
It was the ‘fear of God’ that kept me going and not abandon my post. Around year 3, I came to the conclusion that I’d rather see the spiritual realities as they are so that we have an opportunity to fight the evil principalities and get their roots out completely, and not just live in defeat alongside them.
I’m reminded by the Holy Spirit this morning that when the enemy attacks, to never ever retreat! Instead I have learned to triple-up in my spiritual weapons and be ready to fight offensively, not just defensively. Here’s a list of weapons for spiritual warfare – first and foremost is God’s word in the Bible, worship songs, pray in tongues, fasting, attend more prayer and Bible study meetings, Sunday church services, fellowship more with Jesus’ followers, share the good news of Jesus Christ, grow my faith by hearing and sharing testimonies, meditate and memorize scriptures, etc etc.
Sleep is secondary for me in the month of October. If the Holy Spirit wakes me up to pray and intercede in the early morning hours, I obey and do that work. I’m sharing my stories and experiences with you so that you also triple-up on your prayers and spiritual warfare weapons that I listed above in the month of October.
My mom had a retail store for about twenty years in Queens, NY. I remember she would tell me that at the end of the month, she noticed the most difficult and combative customers came into the store. She would prepare herself by accepting that situation and letting things go more, processing their returns, hearing their complaints patiently, etc. She was avoiding trouble and danger on herself and her store by doing that. My mom is street-smart. Let us be spiritual-smart and street-smart people.
I heard this in my sleep today.
“In quietness and confidence (in Jesus) is our strength.”
It’s good advice from the Holy Spirit in the month of October. I’ve learned to keep my speaking to a minimum. I have also learned to speak words of faith, encouragement and hope. I also noticed that this kind of speech attracts God’s angels. And I want God’s angels hanging around me especially in the month of October.
Remember it’s not about perfection but progress. If you mess up in your speech and actions, just repent immediately and ask the Holy Spirit if you need to do anything to repair and restore. If you are not sure, reach out to a mature believers for advice and prayers. If you are only using a paid therapist for feedback then you might be receiving non-biblical advice. Be smart and ask for advice from both. Ultimately you need to do what the Holy Spirit tells you to do for the best outcome when you mess up, and to receive a blessing after your obedience.

Here’s an awesome testimony of a baby healed completely from stage 4 cancer! I’m so happy that this couple’s testimony turned out so well. I never like it when believers would ask for prayers on Facebook for healing because from my observations they don’t seem to work very well. This couple asked for prayers on Facebook and had nearly 3,000 people praying for their baby son. It wasn’t working but when they heard teachings from Andrew Wommack, their prayer strategy changed completely. FYI – Bible scholars calculated that 1/3 of Jesus’s miracles documented in the four gospels were deliverances from demons. I like to refer to the story of the Syrophoenician
mom who sought out Jesus Christ for her daughter’s deliverance from demons. You only go to Jesus Christ and just like the parable on prayer of the persistent widow, don’t ever give up asking for your miracle.

Recently I was at a gathering with non-church friends. There was a man in our gathering that I just met. Out of nowhere, he confided to me that he and his wife saw a UFO many years ago in New Jersey. A young man in our conversation said he believes in extraterrestrials 👽 and they went on and on about UFOs and extraterrestrials. I was too shocked to say anything. Lately I’ve been watching a new show with my husband and it’s about aliens living amongst people. May we understand the times that we are living in to know how to respond when conversations of extraterrestrial beings and UFO phenomena come up. I was a deer in headlights.
I’ve read through the Bible about 8-9 times in the last 16 years. Whenever I come across the Nephilims in the Bible, I quickly gross over these mysterious creatures. Bible commentaries were bizarre and way over the head space and time required.

I think like the imprinting of baby ducks, if the people first hear about extraterrestrials and UFOs from non-biblical sources then they will gravitate towards their first source and is in danger of walking towards Satan’s deception. Their books will go much deeper than my Bible study book on the Nephilims. I heard both interviews and my mind is blown away and still processing the information shared.

This past Sunday during church worship service, I received a word from the Holy Spirit that ‘Satan always copies God’s works’. In order to not be deceived by counterfeits, you must study the Bible continually and carefully, and be rooted in the church community.
