This year’s month of October has been the toughest month of battles ever for me. Having a “poker face” with my non-believing family is interesting when I’m under intense spiritual warfare. Self-control and discipline is very important when speaking with nonbelievers.

Please pray this good prayer over you and your family and household. October is almost over.
Prayer: Hedge of protection over my family
Heavenly Father,
You are the Almighty God, my Defender, my Shield, and my Refuge. Today, I come before You with a heart full of trust and faith, lifting up every member of my family to You: my parents, siblings, children, spouse, extended family, and every dwelling connected to us.
Lord, I ask You to place a divine hedge of protection around us. Surround our homes with Your heavenly army. Let every doorpost be marked with the blood of Jesus. Let no evil come near our dwellings, and let no weapon formed against us prosper.
Cover us from the crown of our heads to the soles of our feet. Protect us from harm, danger, sickness, deception, division, and anything that does not come from You. Let Your presence be the very atmosphere in our homes, driving out fear, confusion, and heaviness. Replace it with peace, unity, laughter, and love.
Guard our minds from anxiety and torment. Guard our hearts from bitterness and brokenness. Guard our bodies from disease and fatigue. Guard our spirits from anything that seeks to draw us away from You.
God, we don’t just ask for protection from what we can see, but also from the unseen battles. Expose every hidden trap of the enemy and cancel every assignment sent against my family. Let Your angels encamp around us night and day.
Establish Your covering over our finances, our decisions, our relationships, and our future. Build a wall of fire around us and be the glory in our midst (Zechariah 2:5). Let Your peace be the gatekeeper of every home, and let Your truth be the foundation we stand on.
I declare in faith: my family is covered, my family is protected, and my family is surrounded by the living God.
In the mighty, powerful, and matchless name of Jesus, Amen.

Most importantly, be disciplined and stay on guard. Your enemy the devil is prowling around outside like a roaring lion, just waiting and hoping for the chance to devour someone. Resist him and be strong in your faith, knowing that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are fellow sufferers with you.
